So these are poly plates that stop M855 for under $200?

That's why I was asking. Most everywher I'm reading, they're saying Poly can't stop M855, but then I keep seeing deals on poly plates that supposedly will.

I've ready similar reports about poly plates failing to stop 855 reliably. I've also read that plate backers in conjunction with poly plates will stop what the plate doesn't. |

I really wish I could could find a solid answer on this.
I really want to just buy some good plates and stop thinking about it so I can go back to drooling over gun porn. |

NO poly plates will stop M855. Period. None of them. A poly-ceramic hybrid typically will but PE? Not unless it's about a foot thick. |

Also, I think we are ignoring the more exciting offering, which is the ceramic hybrid level III stand alone at 4.7lbs for a medium. It's what the Sigma plate should have been. I think some may be missing that they have rolled out 2 different level III plates. |

$438 for one large plate? I paid about $100 less than that for two Paraclete-mfd Lvl IV ceramic, stand-alone plates when Tyr had them on sale.
Which was, admittedly, a screaming deal. Unless I am missing something, GG plates are not exactly a bargain. Not saying they're junk, but not a screaming deal. |
