Walther PPQ45 is best .45.
As of this morning my two week old PPQ45 has digested 2000 rounds of Winchester white box FMJ and 175 rounds of Black-Hills Tac-XP JHP without a single hiccup.
Laser like accuracy, headshots at 25Y and 8" plates at 50Y are boringly easy to hit.
"Bill Drill" A zone splits at 7Y are in the 0.23 range.
The trigger is almost too good, I'd actually like about one more pound of weight to it.
The ergonomics make shooting even +P .45 a breeze and the size to capacity ratio is great.
12 rounds of .45 in the same grip length as my 15 round VP9.
The magazines load to 12 easy and topped off there's still enough follower travel left to make inserting on a closed slide easy.
My only complaint is there's no paddle mag release M1 version since that's my preference.
At $525 shipped + $25 FFL transfer - $100 rebate I'm into this baby for $450.
Not bad for a pistol that outperforms (and has replaced on the nightstand) my HK45, and does a better job when pressed into CCW than my HK45C.
