Sent my 19 slide off to Maple Leaf for a cut and poached my 45 slide to fill in.

I rotate them annually when I change the battery on the RMR so I am never without a carry gun that I am confident that it will work and the RMR is zeroed.

The one pictured above, I carried last year.
Once I change the battery in the clone that is my then practice gun, I take it to the range, confirm zero then that becomes the carry gun and the current carry gun goes to practice duty.

This way I get two years out of the batteries and always carry one with less than a year of battery use.

Details are:
G19.5 MOS
Extended mag release (rounded)
Extended slide release
Glock performance trigger with a standard no marking connector
TLR7A light
RMR
Ameriglo hackathorn sights

Thanks for the explanation, and the pictures.  I like the idea.  Not that I need an excuse to get another G19....   Or do I!?

Mine is Howie's hockey tape. Works great even when your hands are sweaty and a lot more comfortable against your skin than skateboard grip tape when you're carrying.

Talon grips is another popular one. That's like skateboard grip tape or boat or stair tape. Works awesome, but I don't like it on something I'm gonna carry inside the waistband.

My first Glock, purchased April of 1999, had its 25th birthday in February.  Shown with one of the pre-ban NFML mags we were stuck with back in the day.

Very nice setup, I’m totally digging the BFG frame. Are the upgraded slide and mag release Glock parts or from another manufacture?

That BFG looks even better in sunlight. Where is a good place to buy those parts? The official Glock website seems only interested in selling barrels, sights, plates and grip back straps.

GT distributors sells a lot of Glock parts. I have the luxury of going to their retail stores to not pay shipping and they usually have more there than on the webpage.

Lone Wolf also sells Glock parts but you have to be sure to check that it actually Glock because they sell their own stuff too.

Big Tex Ordinance used to be the main place to go but they seem to not stick much these days.

I just picked this up from a local auction house for $526, out the door ($440 plus 15% buyer's premium and a $20 background check fee)...

Attachment Attached File

It has a Lone Wolf 1/2x28 threaded barrel, along with what appears to be a 5/8x34 thread adapter and thread protector, as well as the Crimson Trae laser grips. It came with a Gen 4 17-round OEM mag.

I also picked up a 33-rnd OEM mag and 2x24-round OEM mags, all filled with 115gr FMJ, and an empty 17-rnd Gen 5 OEM mag, for $97.75, OTD.

I wish they would do another run of the RTF2 guns.

I passed up a G19 RTF2 with gills in 2017 and haven’t seen one at a reasonable price since.

It's a Gen5 17 with a Gen3 17 dustcover welded onto the front of it.  Battlecock Tactical did the work.

Been using the Howies for a while as well. It's the non stretchy version for those who might care. I like it because it's grippy, like rubbery grippy, not grip tape grippy. I put a strip of their actual hockey tape at the top because after a while the wider tape edges tend to roll up on me.
