If you missed out before – here’s your second chance! In October we released the Limited Edition AK Sling – combining the Vickers Sling we have all come to love with retro AK sling parts like the original Russian sling hooks. Those have come and gone but we had overwhelming feedback to make another run. Well here it is!
The Limited Edition AK Sling V2 is suited for the near-purist and first AK owner alike. Now available in either Coyote Brown or OD – similar to early “mustard” and subdued green of the original slings combined with custom plum hardware. Two triglides at the tail allow it to fit on fixed stocks, side folders, or wire stocks. The front end features a newly designed molded Universal Wire Loop. This is simply the best way to attach a sling to the front eyelet of an AK – giving you more than enough strength, low bulk, and less jangle than hooks. All of this topped by a leather Quick Adjuster pull tab – to remind you of the ruggedness of your AK with only it’s sling rivalling it’s durability! |

This sling looks pretty good. But, is it actually a good sling... practically speaking? The price is high if the sling is only for looks and works like crap. I prefer the quick-adjusting 2-point slings such as the PIG sling. Does anyone have experience with this sling. I think it would look beautiful on my Russian Red AKM. But, as I said, I am not particularly fond of paying that high of price if I just end up taking it off to actually use the rifle.

I've used BFG Vickers slings on both home and office weapons; best decision I ever made as far as accrsories go.

View Quote It's basically a VCAS with attachments designed for the AK. So yes, it is a good sling and is quick adjust. |

Way too expensive IMO. But I have three BFG slings, lol.

So what is the point of using the wire loop with QD swivel hole in it? What purpose does it serve ?

I ordered one in coyote brown. I love to spend money on things I don't really need around the holidays.

Versions 1 and 2 have come and gone. Is there a 3rd variant in the works?

No interest in the V2, but I'd buy a couple of the V1's if you did another run.

F$$K CANCER!!! RIP Jeff Reed.

$18 for shipping. Pretty ridiculous. But they had free shipping over $100. So i bought new range bag. Very excited about this. I have several BFG slings on other guns. AK's are fun guns for me and thus asthetics often dictate what gets bolted onto them. This will replace a cool looking but useless Soviet surplus sling on my Krink. |

Can the folks at BFG tell me why the AK stamping on my slings is illegible?
I ordered the original Vickers AK Sling in October and both were unreadable. Took an AK Class 2 weeks later and the guy sitting in front of me had one and I could read it clearly from my table. Returned the 2 and swapped them for the Version 2 and still the stamping is terrible. For the price of these things, they should be perfect. |

Just put in an order for an AK sling. You guys need to offer a limited run with everything that Limited AK V4( leather pull tab, plum connections and rustic proof stamp) has but with the normal AK universal loop connection. As cool as it is, I didn't want the metal clanking noises associated with the metal.

Roger on the Uber Loop.
I run the Blue Force Gear Standard AK Sling with the Molded Universal Loop (useful for my school guns to convert for wrong handed shooters) but the Uber Loop rocks. |

I would really like somebody to make a ak sling that would allow it to
lay flat on your back, and be hands free w/ instant decouple that would allow rifle to swing down under shoulder. |
