I bought an m90np & was surprised that it had a conventional top cover instead of the hinged version. Did I lose the Zastava parts lottery? I am considering buying a spare top cover from apex & adding a rail for optics. Since I don't have the hinge, the m70 should be a direct fit, no? I am new to AKs, please help me out. thnx! |

Only the Krink-type M92 and M85 PAP pistols have the hinged top cover. Yours is exactly as it should be.

I believe you were expecting a Zastava M21, which does have a hinged receiver cover. There are no M21's that are imported into the US for civilian consumption at this time.
