Looking at the 9 or 4.5 inch barrel for a pistol build, to be sbr'd later. I'd use a regular old forged 556 upper, or possibly one of the Anderson slick side uppers.

How well does yours shoot? I'd like to achieve 2 inch groups at 50 yards with common ammo like CCI SV and 1.5 would be nice. Is that realistic for this setup?

I use my 9" .22lr CMMG occasionally at a run and gun match, but of only 35yd max... have never tried it at 50yd, but easily shoots <2 at 35....YMMV

My old 6.5" barrel will do that pretty easily.  It still surprises me when I take it out

My first 4.5" barrel did 2.5-4" @25 yards.

The replacement does a consistent 1.5" @25 yards with CCI standard and MiniMags.

I may try some 50yd shooting, but it seems kinda pointless.
