~~They are US made barrels~~. Taiwanese barrel blanks imported and turned on the US.

They're Taiwanese made barrels that are finished here in the US. They're bored and rifled in Taiwan and then finished here in the States.

Does anyone know if this thing is massively over-gassed? I watched an SMGLee review where I heard him say "overgassed gas system" but the rest is in Chinese, and I couldn't understand it.

He said in order to adapt wider variety of ammunitions,he felt the system was tuned a little bit over gas than the usual T91.
However,Battlefield Vegas has tested this upper for over 4 months,they said it "shoot's just like the other M4's"
no more or less recoil or overgassed issue.

I assume the experience may differ from person to person.

If I remember right there was an earlier conversation regarding the height of the front sight block and that it was too low and they remodeled it to be higher for the US market (I suck and have no reference to quote so take with a grain of salt)-which makes my theory that they won't import the rear sight because it is lower to match up with the original FSB

The first batch of 250 have the original T91 front sight. The next batch will have a US compatible front sight. In my opinion they should just add a short rail so the customer can add any sight they want.

I 100% agree, I don't think Wolf truly realizes the cash cow they are sitting on, because if this takes off, they are going to need a solid aftermarket offering and different upper models as well to include the railed gas block

Yes, I believe so. I'm not sure how much higher the front post sits though.

Anyone else thinking of removing it and going full optic only?

What are you talking about? You think this upper is made in PRC? Even if it were, which its not, we certainly do a lot of trading with our 'enemies'.

You can thank George Bush Sr. for banning arms imports from PRC back in 1989 via executive order. The gun community in the US are certainly cheering that one

The upper is made in Taiwan. The Taiwanese barrel blank is turned in the US due to import laws. The flash hider might be US made but i dunno

It's dual purpose. Sling loop for HK hook style slings. You have to push it in and rotate it 180* to remove the piston. Won't turn when the sling is applying outward pressure.
