I've been on the fence about getting a PS 9mm lower. This may make that decision much easier.

How reliable is the bolt hold open? Ive been hearing that is a concern among the glock style lowers.
|
|
The upper is not proprietary, however, a colt style 9mm bolt will not work with this lower.
Our uppers have a hybrid bolt that works with both. If you already have a Glock style 9mm bolt, you should be good to go. |

Seems fucky without a LRBHO. Shame PSA waited until the day after 41f passed to release this LRBHO model. Would've loved to have had one, but only in SBR form. |

This looks a lot like the LRBHO method used by Quarter Circle 10 in their Glock lower. My experience with QC10 is that the LRBHO is finicky and not reliable. I much prefer the new frontier Armory upper that achieves LRBHO for Glock lowers. It has been 100% reliable.

I put one together and took it to the range this weekend.
I'd say be careful of what buffer and buffer spring you pick out (just because mine works awesome and I did it right the first time) But hands down my AR-9 is my new favorite gun. |
|
Since there aren't really any reviews of this lower - for everyone who has one of these, how well does the LRBHO work? There are 2 product reviews on the PSA website and 1 review says works fin, the other, not so much.

LRBHO worked like clockwork every time. My only problem is that the hammer pin walked itself out so I ordered some KNS anti-walking pins which will fix that right up. Aside from that I have (estimated) probably 300 rounds through it and it is by far my new favorite gun to shoot. PSA 7.5 M-Lok complete upper, JoeBobOutfitters heavy buffer, pistol spring, and spacer, MOE Defender LPK, KAK tube/shockwave brace, and PSA forged Glock 9mm lower w/LRBHO I have magpul BUIS which should get here by tomorrow. |

My lower with LRBHO (blem) showed up today at my FFL. It was in a bubble wrap sleeve and when i took it out to inspect it, there was a spring in the bag. I am assuming it is the spring that goes under the LRBHO transfer bar which activates the bolt catch. Where exactly is this supposed to be at? At the 90 degree angle before the Bolt stop? Is there a fix to makes sure this doesn't just pop out all the time? Hoping the PSA representative can help me out.

My QC10 also came with this. |

Mine looks and works pretty good but I didn't get the LRBHO one. Ugh. Here goes another 4473

Is the bolt release standard? ie, can I replace it with aftermarket?

Why use that ghastly trigger guard profile? Figure you have to give Glock knuckle to AR Carbine shooters as well (without the option of filing it down)?
