Yes. But I don't think that is going to be the case here. Not with a 10.5" Barrel. From my measurements of components I have here (granted I don't have his pistol to measure) he is going to be close but not quite there. I do not think the muzzle break can be included in the length (unless welded).

I appreciate you guys looking out, however...I thought the rule was 26" or shorter to be considered a pistol. Mine is 27" Franklin Armory has a XOS 26 on their site that is exactly like my set up, complete with a ATF Letter...What am I missin. Regardless, after firing the weapon last weekend, some change has to be made, the damn thing kicks like mule, and is difficult to keep on target for follow up shots

[Last Edit: bgreer] [#7]
My Firearm is 27" overall. The letter Franklin Armory posted on their site said nothing about the muzzle brake....Taking it off and re-thinking it anyway, its ugly and doesn't do what I wanted

Cant include the muzzle device in overall length unless it is pinned.

What's your overall CL? why did you file the feed ramps?

COL is 2.231. Feed ramps are as they were from BHW. I had ordered a barrel with their NGE extension (wider feed ramps). It appears they were unable to provide the advertised extension and modified an M4 feed ramp to get it close. I am still waiting on a reply as to if that is what they intended. It does not look pretty but seems to function fine. I must say their customer service has been very good but so far not to the point that I got what I ordered.

This is the first barrel they sent but with M4 feed ramps. They said to keep it and sent another barrel a few months later but unfortunately with the filed M4 feed ramps. I suspect the fact that the wrong barrel extension was used was not caught until after all of the expensive fluting etc. and being the second time it had happened someone tried to "fix it."

Despite the fact that the feed ramp problem is annoying I must say the barrels have both been extremely accurate.

The loads feed fine and do not touch any "riffling" as the BHW barrels use a polygonal rifling. I have had no problems with coating being abraded during feeding and the MBC bullets retain the coating after being fired. No leading at all. The whole idea with this build was to shoot cast subs with large meplats.

What barrel length are you running?  I have a BAD PDW Lower build that I am planning and I want it to be a super shorty 300 blk but I have been hemming and hawing on barrel length/HG.  I was thinking a KMR or a SLR.

How's the BA barrel shoot? Decent accuracy?
I just got one in the mail and I'm debating which way to go with it. I'm thinking pistol with a KX3 or 5? It's going to be a while before I can get a can

I'm considering that upper, but I'm wondering about how long the rail is compared to the shoulder on the barrel threads. Is there enough space to attach a taper mount and mount something like a Griffon Recce 7 without rail interference?

im not sure how your mount threads on, but I can tell you that with the 9" barrel and 8" rail, the rail comes to right where the threads stop. So an AAC 51t mount works and so does a SilencerCo asr, and so does a direct thread can. But, if you have anything that comes back over the threads at all, it wouldn't work and you would need the 9" barrel with 7" rail.
BCM makes great stuff though so I'm sure eyed be happy with it.
