I looking for the same  answer.  I  just put my 14.5  LMT upper and lower together and i was wondering if i should  swap parts out with this upgrade kit ???

The spring in your carbine unless it has alot of rounds though it should be fine.

Leave the "O" ring that comes with the kit in your parts box. It's not needed and you can get "Brass Smearing" on the bolt face and extractor.

It comes highly recommend by Mike Pannone. Take his word/experience for what it's worth.

Does you bolt need to be upgraded? It's a Colt, the only thing it needs is to be maintained. Do you need a $5 rebuild kit and maybe some gas rings? Get them from BCM. Need a new extractor, too? BCM. Need a SprinCo spring? They are $5. You couldn't pay me to use DPMS parts.

If you have a LMT bolt group it already has it.
