12.5" noveske N6.  she's a portly pig but i love her

it was going to be a "lightweight" build but i was able to pick up all the noveske parts and it turned into a leonidas.  the 12" 716 is a drop dead sexy rifle

Very nice.  You should trade up to an ECOS in FDE like mine.

Nah. I spent a lot of time deciding on what I needed and wanted in my ACOG, and this one is perfect for me. Every thing I want, and nothing i don't.
Plus, I'm gonna paint it to match the gun. Hopefully this weekend.

Came out a little lighter than anticipated.  Gonna add some darker tones to it at some point.

Not sure if this qualifies for FDE, it's actually Field Drab, but it looks pretty good. Just got it finished tonight. Thinking about hitting it with some OD and a mesh laundry bag.

Not bad Bro.  If you get the balls, would like to see it with the mesh job.

I'm gonna see how durable this finish is. If it starts to wear a lot, I'll prob hit it with the mesh bag treatment to blend in with the wear.

That's a nice rifle you have there and yes I think a little green would look food.

Mid length gas system on it?

I think so too, but right now it has that "factory" kinda look to it (the color looks a lot like the M110).

Once I get bored or get some good wear on it, I'll hit it with some green.

And yes, mid-length

Maybe it's part of the rail. The FDE rail covers. They look like they're billet aluminum or steel.

Ok, my YHM forearm showed up sooner than expected so I got to complete this project early. This is the same rifle I posted a couple pages back when it was a work in progress. Colt M4 w/ many upgrades. Upper, lower, forearm & optic painted with Dark Earth Alumahyde II:

B5 SOPMOD and the Noveske NSR FDE panels are almost a perfect match.
