As a policy, owners of our selectors have the option to exchange their levers for something that may work better for them, irrespective of place of purchase.
The levers to be returned must be in "Like New" condition with orginal packaging and the exchange request must be within 30 days of the purchase. This used to be a no cost program, but we are now assessing a fee for the exchange, it is still much less than buying a new lever outright. Very often the levers to be returned to us are not returned, folks either forget or decide to keep them, and the free lever exchange policy was taken advantage of. The cost of the exchange is $5.50, it doesn't quite cover our cost, but at least this is now sustainable, whereas the free lever exchange isn't, and had run its course. |

Thank you
Our customers are never stuck with anything they bought. The flexibility of our selectors extends beyond hardware. A customer may have bought a 3 lever or 2 lever kit from us or our dealers, the other levers are always available to him with no hassle or cost. We're working on our 6th lever (reverse hybrid). Now with 6 levers and an end cap, the options can be somewhat bewildering, this is our way of assuring customers they have our resources at their disposal, and they're never alone |

Just wanted to say thanks for the great customer service. I emailed this past Friday about switching out a lever and received a response a couple of hours later stating that it was on the way. I received the new lever on Monday and couldn't be happier. Great product and great CS!

It's great you guys do this but I'm honestly happy to pay shipping. It's a great product so if I choose the wrong lever, the financial burden shouldn't be placed on your company.
IM sent btw. |

Thanks Ryan, it costs $0.88 cents to send the lever, it's part of service and support
For those that think our selectors cost too much, they either haven't owned one or haven't needed to call us for anything yet, it's not easy to pay for something you don't see (right away). Premium products require premium level service, we deliver, and then some. BTW your lever is on its way to you tomorrow, hope you like it |

The free lever exchange program is probably a first in the industry, it's a program specifically tailored to be easy, hassle free, and free (other than the postage to ship the returning levers to us)
There are no terms for the exchange, such as condition of the lever (new or used) and date of purchase. If a customer bought a selector from 2010 and wants to exchange a lever for a new one that didn't exist in 2010, it's free In May of 2010, we had three levers. By the end of the year, there will be 7 (not counting the short crank, whose fate hasn't been decided), plus an end cap. Our customers benefit from further development of levers |

This still in effect? I would like to see if the short/thin and hybrid would work better on my setup. The bottom edge of the Standard lever jabs my hand when shooting lefty and I can't use it on the other side because of my extended take down pin blocks it when it's on FIRE, likewise the standard/thin doesn't have enough meat on it to flip reliably from SAFE to FIRE with my big fingers if I'm in a hurry to go hot
This is my first one ever and I love the quality, but didn't know where to start on lever selection since I'd never had a BAD ASS or any other ambi safety before. |
|
|
The lever exchange program is valid forever
Extended take down latch solves an occasional problem, but introduces interference 100% of the time to the right side lever, we'll be introducing a solution to that shortly The short-thin lever isn't for everyone. It's diminutive and hard to use, it's for folks that won't use the trigger finger side lever much and are willing to accept the compromise. If you do use the trigger finger side lever a lot, the short lever is the best route. Please email me your shipping address and levers you want and I'll take care of it |

So I was randomly checking out the BAD-ASS, and I randomly stumbled upon the package with the SSA. Damn that's a good deal. I thought, "Let me bookmark this to buy later."
Then I stumbled upon this thread. What a great offer. Screw it, I'm ordering now.

Just a quick question please.
I just installed a set of Bad Cass into my new lower. When the rifle is charged, the safety will move to the safe mode. After the shot, when he rifle is empty, the safety does not move to the safe position. Is this normal, or did I screw up the install? Thanks |
|
|
Jerry, completely normal. It's more of the function of the trigger that does not allow the selector to be rotated to SAFE until the hammer is cocked. I know of one trigger maker, Jard, that actually does allow the selector to rotate to SAFE while the hammer is uncocked. We can probably make it so the selector can be rotated whether the hammer is cocked or not, but the AR system has been like this for a long time, and folks are used to it.
The SCAR also follows suit (like the AR), I'm not sure about ACR. With HKs, the selector can be rotated to any position regardless of the condition of the hammer. In an M16, with the hammer uncocked, the selector can be rotated between SEMI and AUTO, even though this doesn't do a thing. In our 0-50-180 M16, short throw selector prototype, one can't rotate it between SEMI and AUTO while the hammer is uncocked, and we had to change it, again because users are accustomed to it, it serves no purpose otherwise |

Thanks for the info...by the way this was a chip mccormick trigger. Do you know if a Geiselle will rotate when not charged?
|
|
|
Geissele will not allow the selector to rotate while the hammer is resting on the receiver Neither will the vast majority of triggers, and probably none of the factory triggers

I recently purchased my first BADASS. Came with a standard and a short. Can I move the standard the right side and trade the short for a crank that would be used on the left?
How do I send payment to upgrade to a crank? |
