Personally I would say search around for the current LOWEST price you can find NEW and offer $200 less and raise accordingly from there. This is a used gun and in a soft market. He will sell it yes, But don't be the sucker that pays full price.

I have recently purchased three lightly used 6940's from the forum at 925-1025 shipped to my FFL. A very soft market right now.
