Is this your source of information? You spoke to a customer service rep on the phone? Click To View Spoiler Edit: Customer service on the commercial side just told me that the CM7 will be back in production next year!!! Well I guess I will need to squirrel some money away. I remain skeptical tho. Now they need to announce the M5 for domestic sales. |

I spoke to the rep. They said they had plans next year to produce some. If those plans come to fruition is anyones guess.

If they’re bringing the M7 back that’s good, I just need some small parts but I do think an MLOK upper would be cool.

I just purchased an LR/SR G3 Pmag, I hope this works. What Pmags are compatible with the 901 ambi-lower? Thanks
Eta: disregard, I got the info from the archives that any DPMS pattern SR25/M110 will work fine. |

Thanks Eta: disregard, I got the info from the archives that any DPMS pattern SR25/M110 will work fine. View Quote Every SR25 pattern mag I've ever tried in the 901 has worked fine. That includes KAC steel mags, D&H steel mags, D&H's clones of KAC mags they did for PSA, .308 PMAGs (the M118LR variants will not drop free but otherwise function fine, regular .308 PMAGs no issues), Lancer L7 AWMs, PMAG D50s, and X-Products X-25s. With the 5.56 magwell adapter every 5.56 mag I've ever tried has worked fine as well, including PMAG D60s and Surefire SF60s. |

Today I picked up the
CM762-16S . The lower is ambi, the gas block is a low profile pinned non adjustable. The charging handle is also ambi. ^^^^^ Beautiful rifle, I’ve got it’s sister in a non ambi model.
Her older ‘brother’ 901 is though. Hell of a Xmas addition. |

It came with a 6.5 Upper and was sold as a ‘Police Overrun’. It also didn’t come in a a Colt box. I purchased it from GB and I didn’t notice the pics plainly showed the non-ambi lower. I was pleased with the deal anyway. Here’s a reference pic. Attached File I was surprised at how much materials were cut to allow the ambi. CM762-16S: I added a Magpul bipod but I'll probably try an tougher Atlas bipod on this rifle. Also I got this without BUIS so I added the correct sights. For an optic I'm considering the Trijicon Credo 1-8 LPVO.
I'm going to try and shoot this suppressed, hopefully the gas system won't need modifications. I'm not sure what length the gas tube is? Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I'll need to pull my rail for a measurement eventually. It really isn't important to me, the gas tube length, as long as I can shoot it suppressed. |

I know for sure that the LE-901S gas tube is Armalite AR10 carbine length. Can't recall right now the exact length but it is a proprietary length.

View Quote Thanks for the info. I went out to the range this afternoon to shoot my CM762 w/BUIS off bipod zeroed @50, 200 (front sight elevation) then 400 yards (3.50 on rear elevation adjustment). My first shot(s) impression, the recoil impulse really wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. Once I get a mount, with suppression it may be even softer. I did get pinched once with the CH. For an optic I'm leaning towards a LPVO 1-8x that'll likely be Trijicon Credo or VCOG. Overall I'm satisfied with this Colt . |

Happy new year!
Reading back through the Colt 901 pic thread was looking for information on the barrel thread pitch for the CM762-16S. I haven't found that anyone mentioned it. I needed to confirm before ordering a mount/flash hider. I've read through the owners manual, but it doesn't include the spec barrel thread. Is it the standard .308/762, 5/8x24" or other? Maybe Colt will run production on the CM762 this year, put me down for another. Thanks |

I run a 1-8 accupower on mine and had a 1-6 vcog for a bit. If you’re running it as a battle rifle get the credo and a lightweight mount, not aero though. I enjoy my accupower on it.

I took my 901 out to a 3gun match. I was getting hits out to 570 yds with it. I do wish I could do more to it than just a brake and trigger.
