scope seems a little too forward. how is the eye relief ? nice gun I pull my guns in really close and kinda wrap my shoulder around the stock. It works really well for me, but alot of others have had issues shooting my guns with scopes. From my point of view....it appears most people are scrunching their necks back to shoot with a scope. I may not shoot as conventional with a scope, but I have my nose almost on the charging handle on every gun, and it seems to work well for me. |

place holder for pics - going to the range tomorrow to work up a few new sets of handloads. . . . :D Just working up loads for Hornady and Sierra 168s at the moment using Varget, Win LRP, Hornady Match brass and some love. Sierra and Hodgdon's data was pretty different, so I was unsure where to start and all the data I could find was out of bolt guns for the most part with long barrels. Not quite where I want to be yet on the precision hand loads, but I got a GREAT 3 gun load already running and should just be a few more trips to the range and time behind the presses before I have a singing precision load. I want to get my fps up a bit higher than what I got to today and then pick out sets of loads that preformed well and see if I can bring them in a bit. I tested/chrono'd about 150 rounds today and that was pretty tiring. I think with less to get through and I should be able to get some pretty good results. I also have some 175 Sierras and some 155 Lapua's on the way to work with. ETA - I really think we ought to start a reloading thread in this LT forum for just what folks are using, results they are getting with their LT guns. I know I would be happy to throw in all the data I have collected so far to help out others. And I get the distinct feeling more than one person is out there loading for their LT rifles. |

I agree! I am starting to get the things I need to reload. Got a RCBS Chargemaster and a nice chronograph from Santa.

Do you shoot USPSA / IDPA at all? I am out at ARC quite a bit, haven't seen you there before. Doc I was there yesterday actually. I usually get out the ARC 1x a week on average. Don't get to shoot nearly as much action sports as I use to. I try to shoot the BOTW 3 gun when I can, but due to shift rotations, that is usually only every 3rd month. I also like Steel Challenge, but if it comes between picking, I'm really into three gun. My shotgun skills are really suspect at the moment. Mainly the loading part. I use to shoot 1-2 IPSC matches a week when I was going to college. Those were the days. |

I would really like to see what you got working for good handloads for the OBR. I am starting to get into it and would love to see what you come up with!

Only complete data I have at the moment is for Hornady's 150grn FMJBT, but I have started working up loads for Sierra and Hornady 168s this week, just haven't reached the velocity I am looking for yet. Should have all that worked out in the next few weeks. |
