I checked Gunbroker.com out of sheer desperation to get my hands on one of these. No luck, obviously.

That's one of, if not THE, best 1911's I've ever seen. Very nice Mr. Larue!

If they can do a carbon steel single stack and guarantee 1.5" 50yd groups I would be interested... (BE, and service pistol)
Bump for more info! Once your caught up, you should hit the button and start pushing out 1911 parts again! A complete 1911 would be great!

I patiently waiting for a LaRue 1911, with a threaded barrel. My birthday is next month, what a nice B-Day present, getting on the list for one |

That is a re"mark"able handgun! You can just see the fit and finish on that 1911 is pretty incredible! Why don't you give it a "limited run" production and see how it goes? Seems like it would do pretty well.

Anyhow, my wife, for our anniversary, badgered Sir Dave Dawson into dragging down this 9 year old project in it's bucket and finishing it for me. It came as a complete surprise. What you see is my "Angled" model. I ran those chamfers downhill. I was the first to do it. I also made the first slab-side. That 1st slab-side went onto Dave Bishop's pistol. You also see one of my many hammers (my sear is hidden). Something some of you may recall and most have never seen is my "Bovax Rear Sight". I made up a little something to fit into Bomar cuts to turn a competition gun into a carry-pistol. You're looking at the last one known to exist, as far as my world goes. Anyhow, I was flabberghasted when my bride handed this little number over to me. Nice to be married to such a nice witness to my life. Much thanks go to Dave Dawson and to Willie Tarver. Dave is too busy to mess with the likes of me and Willie, bless his heart, took that rusted up 12 year-old slide and made it into a thing of beauty. Talk amongst yourselves, I need a moment here. Hope you enjoyed 'em, and of course Mark Fingar's magic is again evident. M. Still ever hopeful...had a beautifully crafted and tuned Nighthawk some years ago, and sadly had to let it go to another home for financial reasons. But even then I knew it was a pale comparison to a LaRue 1911, even though I have never held one...true story and telling.
So it begs the question Mark LaRue, whom does one need to know within your organization so that this hope can manifest into my reality? Post scriptum In case my sarcastic prodding isn't evident, please know that you have always gone above and beyond anything I have deserved, and I, and my family, will always respect that. |

This cryptic statement alone will keep me from making an order with other 1911 manufactures. Can not wait to see what LT is making.

Better hurry! I am looking at a 1911 for Christmas. Per usual, the wife and I bought each other nothing but will do it properly some time after the first of the year.
I could not justify having 2 1911's and really don't want to buy one and then have to take the hit of having to sell it for less than paid... ...but that is what I would do to own the best! |
If I wrote my signature you couldn't read it.
While I think I have enough 1911's in my safe, let LT release their 1911, and I'll be making room for one more.
Just saying.. |
