What's the word on ceracoat sticking to these things? I wanna do mine and would like to know if anyone has any special prep extras i need to know about. Exile machine has them too and CHEAP! Well did as of last Friday. View Quote Wish I had heard of Exile before. The 13" KMR is about $40 cheaper there |

Can someone tell me if the KMR comes with any rail sections in the box?

Thanks for the info Jukeboxx. If anyone could confirm if just the handguard rail comes with rail sections that would be excellent.

View Quote Yes, though they are stuffed inside the handguard for shipping. A fair number of people have opened the box without unpacking the KMR and though they didn't get their rail sections. One 5-slot and one 7-slot polymer rail are in their own plastic packaging inside the KMR. |

I agree, unless you're being sarcastic. I'm not big on price controls, I prefer vendors earn my business through one method or another. I generally buy from Brownells first because they've been awesome to me for years, and their no-questions-asked return policy is an industry leader. But, if I wanted to take a chance on Exile, especially since Brownell's is out, I could be swayed by the facts that they have the lowest price on the market. Hey, if they can't sustain that level of discount, they'll go under, or if they can, they'll get all the business they can handle. Free market works. |
|
Honestly after thinking about it I don't regret paying more by ordering direct from BCM. They have been nothing but awesome to me.

I'm interested in this as well. I've heard you just need to take it easy when blasting so you don't strip off the clear under coating since it strengthens the rail. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Naw...those are the weights of the upper without CH & BCG Personally I would't mind seeing a version where they leave off the 12 O'clock rail and keymod that like they do the 6 that should shave a few more ozees off ..... |

Has anyone weighed a 16" SS410 KMR upper? I have one, but don't have an accurate scale and I'd rather spend the money on ammo than buying a scale.
Thanks, T |

Any plans to follow Magpul & Geissele and offer Mg-Al rails with Magpul's new M-Loc ?

I had been looking for some sort of a keymod handstop or AFG type grip. There are a few small handstops, but they're small and expensive for what you get.
I saw the Lanco Grip Stop in a blog last week. It's similar to a Magpul AFG2 except it's curved, all aluminum and it mounts directly to keymod rails. The unit weighs 2 oz. I ordered it Friday night and it was at my door Monday afternoon. I mounted it last night and really like it. The arched grip lets you adjust your hold on the rifle and offers comfortable support. It feels like it gives me good control without making my wrist bend uncomfortably. It mounts using proper keymod hardware and the design allows you to properly orient the lugs. I'm quite pleased with this solution. http://i502.photobucket.com/albums/e423/TexanInCali/IMAG0101_zps9b011ddd.jpg |
