Any plans to follow Magpul & Geissele and offer Mg-Al rails with Magpul's new M-Loc ? View Quote I'd like to know this as well. M-LOK is pretty compelling and as cool as Keymod is, it won't have generated enough market inertia in a couple of short years to stave off a system that has several advantages and no relative disadvantages. |

Yeah but on the other hand keymod or M-Lok regardless... a lot of weight is given to lightness |

No doubt both are great, and the BCM KMR is arguably best of breed in a lot of ways. But I'd like to be able to standardize attachments, and in the medium term I can't help but think that M-LOK's simplicity will help it catch up to and surpass keymod very quickly in the market.

Been very happy with my BCM KMR. Purchased the KMR upper and a BCM Lower and BCM BCG making for a great rifle. I'm very pleased. Just hope those rail covers come out sometime soon.

Is an 11 inch KMR likely?
Also, does anyone have pics of a 10" KMR on 12.5" tube, so I can get a feel for how much barrel I'd have out the end?

Range Time with Cory and Erika did a video on the SIG Brace, but the AR pistol its on had a KMR 11" rail. I see that they've cerakoted the KMR...are we saying as a whole this is ok to do? |

I just soaked mine in acetone for about 20 minutes to make sure it was clean and cerakoated right over the black finish. It's seen a good bit of use and been dropped once or twice and it hasn't chipped, flaked or gotten screwed up in any way yet. I figured if the black they put on could stand up to acetone for that long without lifting, bubbling or doing something crazy it was good enough for a base to lay some tungsten over top of without too much worry. I'm happy with the end result so far.

Finally broke down and bought a KMR-10.
It really exceeded my expectations in every way. Impossibly light, incredible quality and detailing. Simple and impressive, clearly engineered to be the best design. I was prepared to be underwhelmed like I have been with the NSR, but no, this KMR is the best I've seen so far. |

An 11" would be great .....on a 14.5 for folks with shorter arm lengths who want to mount their light up on the top rail and out to the end.
My wife feels much more comfortable with the 11" vs the 13" |

He's using a Thorntail 1913 Offset Adaptive Light Mount. They make one that mounts directly to the keymod also. |

Will any KMR properly fit a 20" A2 with A2 fixed front sight ?

Got my 14.5 ELW KMR RECCE, which just happened to come in at the same time as my 16" PredatAR. The BCM actually makes the tAR feel heavy.

I want an 11" for a 12.5" rig. Or even better, an 11.5" version. No one offers the ideal handguard for a 12.5" rig yet IMO. Someone needs to step up and offer a handguard that allows just enough of a 12.5" barrel exposed for a suppressor to clear the muzzle device. There's solid options out there for that type of setup with 10.3/10.5, 11.5 and 14.5 barreled rifles - why not 12.5 rifles as well? View Quote Okay, I made it through 16 pages, but can't make it further. Is there ever going to be 11", 11.5", or 12" version? |

Well FRACK! That sucks! I'm getting ready to do a 12.5" light weight build and really wanted to use a KMR.
Thanks for the info though! Reading these long threads makes me dizzy. |

For those that have cerakoted, did you media blast the black finish off and apply the cerakote to the bare metal, or just clean the black finish and cerakote over it?

Anyone else have issues running their LT660/T1 all the way forward on the receiver? The tabs seemed to be interfering with the mount to rail interface for me. I took a T1 off another gun, and put it on my KMR RECCE. Was way low and I ended up maxed out on elevation and still off. Moved the mount one notch back, and was able to zero at just about what it was adjusted to on the other gun.
I know some mounts aren't working because of those tabs, just wondering if anyone else is seeing this with the 660, as I see a few pics of setups that look like mine (like the two sets of pics above on this page). |
