Do you rememeber that movie with steven segal and kurt russell where some islamic terrorists hijacked a commercial airliner and were going to drop nerve gas over the eastern seaboard. I know it was just a dumb movie but scenes from that movie kept going through my mind today. I doubt that whoever is responsible for this watched that movie but the basic idea/concept of using commercial airliners as a weapon was displayed in that movie. [heavy][rocket][sniper] [uzi]

dude, that isn't the first time that commercial airliners were used to bring in bad guys.  [i]Red Dawn[/i] had the same thing.

the bad guys don't take the ideas from the movies.  the movies take the ideas from the bad guys.

Remember the Israeli raid on Entebbe?

They flew in several C130 Hercs. But snuck them in the entire way by flying in close formation (to get one radar blip) in the commercial air traffic lanes. What a ballsy way to disguise their planes.

I can't remember if it was Tom Clancys' The Bear and the Dragon or The Sum Of All Fears but the book had the bad guy drop a 747 right into the middle of Congress making Jack Ryan the President.
