It looks like there is still a round in the mag when he fires the larger mag. After it is done and he turns it towards the camera.

No, you're just seeing the feed lips and maybe the ejector.
That was a Glock 18, or a converted Glock 17.

That's one of those Full-Auto. Glocks with the 31 Round clips. LEO and Military use only. I wonder about NFA Reg. on one. Completely illegal for us to own. But damn I'd love to have one.
