The kids that read the weekly reader have correctly predicted the outcome of the presidential election every time for a number of years.... Hang on, I'll find a link.

Here you go...

We've already had one curse die this year with the Redsox winning, it's time now for this one to die as well.

Go Pack

It is a weird coincidence, like "when the NFC wins the stock market goes up."  But eventually all of these coincidences fail.  For example until 2000 I had never voted for a winning presidential candidate.  Until 1987 the Minnesota Twins/Washington Senators had  never won a World Series.  etc.  Heck, even the Broncos eventually won the Super Bowl right?

Republicans
REdSkINs

Democrats
REDSkins

Republicans have 5 matching letters and Democrats only have 4. So history shows the party with more matching letters wins the election. See, I can do it too!

Hell, I posted a thread about this the other night and even I don't believe it (If I DID My house would be full of burning candles and and various fetish objects to get me through my week

If the Packers DO win though I'm hopin' like hell that the OTHER side believes in this and skips the whole voting thing on tuesday (Seein' as how the "forces" have already picked their guy as the winner)

Good thing I am not superstitious.  Given my choice of traditional election indicators, I would think the Weekly Reader poll has a bit more weight to it since it reflects the views of the kids' parents and has a huge base.
