I came into 1k of .17 HMR. Never had a .17 HMR. Now I think I need a gun to use it with.

I was sitting on 2,000 rounds of 7.62x39 and hated the idea of buying anything it would work for, so no

Strangely, I got enough 7.62x54r to last many lifetimes or outfit a brigade.  I have a small family of Mosins, and a PSL, and that's about it.

Sold off an Enfield.  Found about 120 rounds of .303 Brit.  Bought another Enfield.  Shot the ammo.  Sold off the Enfield.......Found another 60 rounds of .303 Brit in the ammo stash.  WTF?!?  Just pulled bullets that time and sold off the brass.  Worth almost as much as live rounds with none of the shipping hassle.

No, but I've got three 6.8 mags I've had few years now that I plan on building a rifle around at some point.

No, but I bought a Beretta PX4 Storm .40 because I had a magazine for one. I had a $1500 gift card to Bass Pro Shop, so I figured ""why not?".

I also bought a Beretta 1301 Tactical with that money

Yes.  I was given some .357 so needed a gun to shoot it in.  That's only sensible.  Otherwise the ammo would go to waste.

Mags need homes too.  I got an extra mag in a trade a few years ago.  It turned out to be for a Beretta 92.  I couldn't just leave that mag all alone with no place to go.  I'm not some kind of sick barbarian.

Indeed. .358 Norma. Stumbled upon 100 rounds of Norma 250gr factory loads at a yard sale. $0.25 per round, and a set of RCBS dies for $20. It was a damn good excuse to find a rifle to go with it all. Found a custom 1917 Enfield, with a 28" barrel, and it chronographed closer to 3000fps than 2900fps.

Ten years later, and I still don't know how I convinced myself to trade that one off.

Yes, fuck.  A case of 9mm for a shooting outing got cut short due to rain, and turned into a whole family of firearms.

I have 750 rounds of 6.5 Grendel and no upper in that caliber.

When CMP was running their.410 sale (500 rds - $50), I bought two cases and didn't have a .410.  Promptly went out and bought a coach gun.

I mistakenly came into a cache of 10mm norma ammo early 90s. I have never owned a 10mm.

Found the stash while moving ammo cans around looking for primers two months ago. Find myself looking at G20 and G40 in the LGS and trolling the local gun lists.

If I can find a job somewhere I may just jump. No reason to keep moving that ammo around.

.380

Got the ammo, need the gun.

I'm into Berettas so my 1st pick is an 84 (capacity) then an 85.

I will consider the Pico after I here more about the factory upgrades and how the trigger feels.

Bought an  Savage axis in 243 because I had 200 rounds of 243.  Pleasantly  surprised how accurate it is for an inexpensive rifle . Ended up buying more 243 ammo

"A Gun", no, a couple yes.

Waaaay back in the day, ran into a sporting good store going out of business that had a bunch of ammo on closeout, the common stuff was picked clean.  I got the Manager to make me a deal on two calibers, how much if I take it all? 2 bucks a box That was late 70's so it would probably be like finding 8 bucks a box now.

Yes. Also want a 45 carbine that uses grease gun mags. So I buy grease gun mags when ever I find them cheap. Still haven't found the carbine. Have plenty of ammo and mags.

I recently built a 7.62x39 upper because I had a stash of 90's era ammo, M8 hollowpoints and Chinese steel core.

Then I bought some more ammo.

When I started reloading I decided to buy a bunch of lead bullets. bought a aftermarket barrel for the glock to shoot them from.

worked up a load that seemed to be good to go.... Loaded up about 5-600 rounds.

get to the range and find out the chamber was bit too tight to deal with the variances in the lead. would fail to feed a couple times per mag.

went and bought a 9mm revolver to shoot the ammo from.

Yes.
I recently was given a giant tub of assorted ammo.

So far I have picked up a M44 due to the vast amount of 7.62 x 54R.

Possible future purchases based on newly acquired ammo:
- .45 Colt.   Might just be time for that Uberti  I have been looking at for years?
- .32   Hmmm, I've always wanted a PPK.....
- .25   Whatever happen to that Baur I had when I was a kid?
