Anyone have a fix for beard dandruff?  I was thinking it was like normal dandruff and I've been using my anti-dandruff shampoo on it for a while and it seems to be making it worse.  Weird.

But does anyone have a suggestion on what to do about it?

Beard oil.

The problem is the skin under the beard is getting irritated and drying out, causing flakes.

Use Dove soap, rinse well.  Works for me.

Stop washing it with soap/shampoo everyday. Once a week soap it up like you normally would, but otherwise just rinse it out with warm water while you're bathing.

Hadn't heard of such a thing.  Huh.  Makes sense.  There's a product for everything these days.

Just tasted some.  Nope, not a cookie.  If so, it was a real fucking nasty cookie.

A few drops of Beard Oil and a beard brush once or twice a week after you shower.

I dont like the beard balms, they are thicker and waxy, the oil works great. Some guys use plain coconut oil, I buy a dropper off sandlewood beard oil off amazon.

I just use Head & Shoulders 2-in-1 2-3 times a week

I might do that with the beard oil approach.  I've been washing it with shampoo when I shampoo my hair, so like 3 times a week.  I'm sure its all dried to hell out.

Maybe you need the beard vitamins this guy was looking for.

I wash my face in the shower with a wash cloth (just water on it) and it seems to help.

Also, don't scratch around and fuss with your beard in public.  That's what breaks off skin flakes.

I use Head and Shoulders conditioner after shampoo.  It works a lot better than the 2-in-1 crap.  I also use balm in it at least once a day.

Those 2 things solved all my problems.

Beard oil? Conditioner?

LOL.

Seriously, when did all the hipsters invade ARFCOM.

Pussy juice and bacon grease seem to work for me.

I have a big beard and I am prone to getting the dandruff. I use Head And Shoulders and it clears me up. Was using Selson Blue and it was actually making it worse.

IMO keep trying different anti dandruff shampoo until you find the one for you.
