Before you answer...I mean your regular run of the mill manufacturer...not custom shops and not their in house custom shops. Who makes the best "off the line" firearms?

Any firearm as long as it's a production piece?
Anchutz "nice" is pretty subjective. Some might think pretty. I tend to think quality + accuracy + durability. |

Larue...period...I don't own one YET...but after handling one the other day...soon...

Quality rifles at a reasonable price/ best bang for the buck I'd probably have to go with Sako and Tikka.
Don't have a lot of recent experience with pistols so I have no idea there. |

Anschutz. Olympic competitors shoot off the shelf rifles with stock barrels.

H&K Never had one fail on me. View Quote Anecdotal of course but pistol wise I have owned Sigs, H&K (full size and compact USP), CZ, FN, SW M&P, Walther. They only one I had problems with out of the box was a full size H&K USP. It would stove pipe once a mag. All the others mentioned ran/run pretty much 100%. Again anecdotal but for the price of a H&K....meh. |

Off the rack old school craftsmanship; Freedom Arms, Shiloh Rifle Co.& Sharps Rifle Co.
