http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/08/25/musical-cleft-symbol-tattoo-leads-to-capture-florida-murder-suspect-in/?intcmp=hplnws

MIAMI –  Police say a tattoo of a musical cleft symbol tattoo and the name "Danei" led to the arrest of a 21-year-old North Miami man accused of killing a 73-year-old housemate by cracking a hot metal frying pan over his head.

The Miami Herald reports a U.S. deputy marshal spotted the tattoo when he pulled alongside Danei Washington Gordon as he rode a bicycle in Hartford, Connecticut, on Aug. 19. Federal agents had been searching for Gordon in Hartford.

I don't know what a musical cleft is. I've seen cleft chins, never a musical one, though.

Oh wait, the butt crack is called the inter-glute cleft, I guess those can be musical.

It's actually a 'treble clef', but I wouldn't expect the illiterate fucksticks that call themselves 'journalists' these days to know that.

Gordon, who attended Miramar High School in Broward, is being held in the Hartford Correctional Center as the family of Neville Smith, 73, the caretaker Gordon is accused of killing, awaits his return. Smith lived a modest life, according to his family, driving a cab for most of the 30 years he lived in the Miami area.

I guess the Miami Herald doesn't have a list of town names in Broward County seeing as it's so far away from Miami-Dade City.

I know that it wouldn't be acceptable to lock up all inkies (yet), but couldn't we at least register them?

I bet that would clear up a lot of unsolved crimes currently on the books.

There was a bank robbery/high speed chase in Phoenix yesterday.
Shots fired, it got interesting for a little bit.

Perp's getaway car was purple

Not necessary.  They register themselves.  By displaying their ink, we know exactly who they are.  That's the beauty of it.

Yes, but there should be some master directory so that we could look them up after a crime.

"Yes Sergeant, it was a Monkey riding a Tiger holding an UZI."

"Let's see....yep, got him.  That's Myron T Jones, let's go pick him up."

Or

"Yes Sergeant, it was a tribal armband around the right bicep"

Oh.  Okay, I see your point.  This isn't foolproof yet.

I like how they followed him for 3 miles to tire him out before arresting him.

As a Hartford area resident I am shocked and amazed that they found a criminal on Garden street in Hartford, shocked and amazed.

True, but the treble clef is what people know as the 'music' symbol. Non-musicians think a bass clef is dragon or a hearing aid.
