Yes, it's retarded fast, but this video shows that the McLaren P1 apparently can go into Plaid Speed...
Boasting what seems to be more than an extra 250 horses and the lack of a second chubby Texan, the P1 Michael Johnson's itself from the Z06 on the straights (and I am a Corvette fan, trust me) Top Gear Link |

This is a retarded comparison. 1.3m car vs a 85k car......
I'll take 15 Z06's and a pallet of M855 instead. Up next, lets compare a apartment in downtown detroit to a penthouse in new york. |

My brother is getting his Z06 pretty soon.
I'll be sure to post a video of me totaling it out on a Houston freeway if I survive. |

I wonder how much faster both would be with someone that could drive behind the wheel?

Ferrari is being a little bitch about it. Supposedly some Arab has a P1, 918 and a LaFerrari and is going to let them run the track with his cars. |

Yep....if you put all of that extra money the Mclaren cost into the Z06....it would probably spank that Mclaren. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I would hope a car that costs more than 10x as much could win the race, but it did straight up walk him at 1:17

Ferrari has almost never cooperated, and when they do, it's pretty much only under their terms (tires, engineering setup, pre-running, etc) Motor Trend used to have this old white guy they called Santa that would lend them Ferrari's for testing because of this. It's just cool to see them in their natural habitat and driven by non-industry folk. I would like to see a MotoGP bike vs a production 1000. It's still cool. If anything, I think the video serves as a strong testament to how good the Z06 is on the track, under braking and in the turns |

My kid just came home yesterday with a poster of one from the school book fair.
He thought it was Ferrari I didn't realize they were that much jack though |

The Z06 IS fast... crazy fast. The P1 (and other new megahybrids from Porsche and Ferrari) and just fucking incredible. |

Ferrari has come out and said that anyone who loans a LaFerrari to Top Gear will be barred from ever buying a limited edition Ferrari. Ferrari is too afraid of loosing their #1 position and what they don't realize is they lost it long ago. |

LOL. At the 1:25 mark. Thats ridiculous! LOL. View Quote driving skills aside when they got on a straightaway I think it was pretty obvious how quick the Mclaren is leaving the Z06 in its wake...wow....ETA:not a fair comparison...in our next video we will compare a Nascar stock car to the team Mercedes F1 car ETA2:I just watched the whole video and the Mclaren driver couldn't have made it more than a couple of laps without completely losing his brakes he was on the binders non -stop.......at the 4:00 mark though he leaves the Corvette so far behind they lost sight of him...lol |

There are fast cars...and then there are fast drivers. The McLaren is the fast car - but not a fast driver.

View Quote Still cool to see a dude taking it to something more than the local Cars and Coffee. Back in 09, dad and I went to the Nurburgring. Unfortunately, with late planning, the whole time we were there it was closed for private track practice (no M 'ring Taxi ), but we did get to see some incredible cars hammer it out. Best part was at the gas station after and seeing a Carrera GT pull up covered in rain water with grimy wheels from brake dust and a nose covered in rubber from the track. |
