I inherited a Uberti 1873 Winchester clone in 45LC from my late uncle - I love this rifle (just as he did).
Anyway, I think I've been bitten by the "guns of the old west" bug because now I want another lever action rifle (probably a Henry clone), a Sharps rifle of some flavor, and a single action revolver. They look totally badass, are a joy to shoot, and you really feel like you're holding a piece of history (even with a clone) when you're slinging lead down range. Most of my money goes into my AR, SCAR, and AK collection, but western guns are the next best thing in my book. So, what's your favorite pistol, rifle, or shotgun from the Old West? Something you already own or something you want? In my opinion, this is the most beautiful gun ever made: |

92 Winchester in .32-20

.45 caliber, Colt Single Action Army revolver with a seven and a half inch barrel.
It reeks of the old west! |

I'd like to get a double barrel scattergun with the exposed hammers.

I need a Winchester 1866.
I have a gun built on a Ballard frame, but a Winchester 1885 is a better gun. A Sharps and a Schofield would be okay, too. |

Winchester 73', one that's all nice on the inside and beat to hell on the outside so you know it was horseback at some point

Anytime I see a Schofield, it reminds me of Ben Foster's badass character in 3:10 to Yuma - rockin' the Schofields: |

This or a Glock |

I have an original Colt 1873 from the Custer range guns. I also have plenty of other original old west guns to go along with it. You can't really have a favorite when they are so interesting and unique.

1873 Winchester. Followed up by the Sharps Carbine.
I never liked the looks of the old west pistols. |

View Quote That. I love break-top revolvers. I wish they were feasible in more modern cartridges, though. |

the revolver was cool, but the lever action has more ballistic terminal stopping power. but the best had to be the canon.

Winchester 32-20.
It was my great grandpa's (May God rest his soul) long gun of choice from what I've heard. Wish it was still in the family. |
