I've been around guns my whole life. But whenever I see a hunting picture with the hunter holding up the dead animal...well i don't quite get it. All jokes aside can someone explain this to me?
(edit due to poor choice of words) EDIT: i am not offended at all, i am not butthurt, im just trying to understand better, i do own a hunting license. Mainly to use the ranges on state game land. |

I actually have a hunting license.
I get the purpose of hunting and I would shoot the right animal. Just don't quite understand the pictures. |

Well, not all men are squeamish about a kill. There you have it.

Same thing happens to me when l see a billboard with a picture of someone buying a prepackaged steak.

You can't take pictures of the stalk, or the days you saw nothing but enjoyed sitting in the stand all day. But you can take pictures of the fruits of your hard work.

Its so you have something to show your buddies instead of carting around a set of antlers, horns, hides, or if its still at the taxidermists shop.

Is there a cure for Big City Thinking?
I tend to think there isn't. «tc2k11» |

View Quote Because we aren't poons, and we like to remember what the animal we took looked like, what we were wearing, what we were shooting, where we were, what the weather was like, how hard we worked, how we gave the finger to antis, etc. on that particular hunt. |

Typically there are three types of hunters..
1. Hunt for a trophy 2. Hunt for food 3. Hunt for food, but wouldn't mind a nice trophy When you said you would kill the 'right one', I would think you were a trophy hunter Most people take pictures of things to remember an experience. They may want to record the success of a good hunt, regardless of whether that success is a nice 10 point or just some freezer meat. If someone sent you a text message the first day of the rifle season with a dead deer, would you say "good job" or "yuck"? |
