I bought my first lower in '06' for $175 and that was a great deal then. The most I've spent, $220. * I have 4 manufactures. LMT, Mega, Stag and PSA (Blem). The difference....Roll marks. A PSA is a damn good deal for $49.00 |

new frontier makes billet lowers? crazzzy
colt, psa, mag tactical I'd have a few anderson lowers if they weren't sold out the last time i did a big lower order... dat horse though... not sure which rollmark is worse, aero precisoin, surplus ammo, or anderson (fan of aero, just hate their lower rollmark ;P) |

So why should I spend $300 on a noveske lower? View Quote Because of cool factor only, I guess. Or you could buy 6 PSA's. Don't get me wrong, I like My LMT and Mega and for that time, we where limited. Anderson and PSA kinda exposed that we where getting ripped off. I think there are only 3 forges for blanks so ALL lowers are forged from the 3 same place. One manufacture probably was the same 5 axis, CNC machine from the other so that leaves us with coating. Yep the same for all High and low cost lowers, now we are left with different roll marks. Now, I understand Billet vs forged but in relative comparison, you are paying for the niche factor. ETA and in the last 2 years it is now common practice to build your rifle. Up until then, big taboo if you built your rifle. It was very frowned upon because sheeple preached that only high end manufactures knew how to assemble an extremely complex machine like an AR and one should not depend on a self build if one valued their life. |
