Bring on the white knighting. I want to hear you justify again why romo is a good QB.
The problem is, undebatably MORE than just tony romo, the Defense is awful, we need a GM and a real coach. I know all this. Let's hear you defend romo. |
Edit: Today has been a good day. Cowgirls are getting crushed. Patriots lost. Bills won |
Cowboys fan here. Romo allows me to laugh at Jones on a regular basis.
160 million contract. .500 record Txl |
Insanity defined is doing the same thing over and over again to achieve a different result. I am a lifelong Cowboy fan.
The guy looks like a caricature and his game is mediocre at best, way overhyped
much like the qb of my team, the bears |
For his next magical trick he will throw into TRIPLE coverage.

Cowboys fan since birth here.
Today, you can lay blame on Romo all you want. He's making multiple shitty decisions and just playing like a high schooler. He deserves it today. However, usually he plays well and the vast majority of last year for example, could be blamed on the defense/shitty offensive line/running game. Not to mention Jerry Jones. |
He is a good mid list qb....until he feels pressure then he makes Tebow look like a HoFer.
If the cowboys ever got a decent running game they might break 500 again.
If he wouldn't try to win the game on one throw for the third time, the Cowboys would've been fine. They had a whole game to come back from that fumble and he wants to force it all at once. Instead of slow and steady he wants spectacular.
Hell the "bad" defense is keeping this from being really bad.
Romo is a good fantasy QB. However he's horrible at winning games. The single most important stat for a QB.
Did anyone catch that Troy aikman commercial? With the Super Bowl rings?
Hurt me right in the feels. |

Sorry to break it to you Cowboys fans, but Aikman and Staubach aren't walking through to locker room door to suit up any time soon. The truth is...Romo isn't that bad. I would even say he is in the top half of quarterbacks in the NFL. Just because you guys were dynasties in the 90's and 70's doesn't mean that you are entitled to have Petyon Manning or Tom Brady types donning the helmet with the star on it.
Or I guess you could go back to the times when you had Quincy Carter or Drew Henson. Maybe you can put Weedon in. He was great it Cleveland. Here is the truth. The Cowboys are an average football team. They have been for a while. They are still better than a lot of teams though. Just because you aren't going to the NFC championship every year isn't anything to pout over. You should have realistic expectations. |

Yeah, they seem to be doing a decent job of moving the ball, right up until Romo throws it away. If it wasn't for three interceptions, they may have scored a touchdown or two by now. Slow and steady, like you said. I don't think the defense is doing all that great.

Mention Romo and it's like a bat-signal for you to show up. The guy sucks. He always will suck, regardless of what happens in the running game. Physically talented, terrible decision making, no mental toughness. Jerry is the biggest problem but Romo is right up there. |

"Say what you want about 'Romo,' but he still throws the prettiest interception in the league." Dennis Miller used that saying about Jeff George and I think it applies here.
