OUCH......prices are high. $3900 for the bookcase. Over $800 for a end table.. |
|
Holy Sh*T that's badass! Where do i get one?
Whats with the magazine? Used just as reference or does it trigger to open the door somehow? |

Pretty sure that guy is a member here and posted this a ways back.

regardless if its an old post its still pretty slick.
Can you imagine a toilet like this LOL that would be great. |
|
nice...I don't like though how the center storage opens to the right hand side...it needs to open to the left where the magazines are.
|
|
I want to say the manufacturer of these posted on here a while back as well.
Maybe it was in the SF. Very cool designs but pricey. The Family Handyman magazine had an article on building a bookcase with lots of hidden storage as well but I can't seem to find the article on the website and I am too lazy to go looking through my stack of magazines right now. |

I like the ed table but I could not afford it Starting at $800+

I don't like them. |

Quoted: fireproof? It's made of wood, so I'm guessing no.... It's made to thwart thieves, not fire. |

DO EET! Also, I saw one of the mag locks and it really resembled this lock from Amazon. I'm going to look in to this, Rigmarole if you remember where you saw it be a lamb and post, please. |

I have a feeling that is in the if you have to ask you can't afford it category, it looks crazy expensive. |
|
Hmmm, I just ripped off my uncle's billfold (the drunk bastard). This'd be a perfect storage place until the heat's off.

My parents have a hidden room behind a bookshelf in their home.
It would work great, if my nephew didn't tell every single person who comes to the house about it. ETA: It's where they store their Christmas decorations. |

Do you know how shitty that would be to own it and not show it to anyone? |

It's great but to call it "beautiful" is a bit of a stretch. They are custom made. You can get it in different sizes, and I would assume, different trim. |

If I got one of those thumbprint cases I'd have to have the James Bond theme on cue everytime I opened it.

First one is really neat.
For custom cabinetry, that ain't all that much money. Second one is too obvious IMO. Just screams "there is more here then just a shelf with pictures and knick knacks on it" Also, I work with similar lift mechanisms to the ones used in the 2nd cabinet. They are not exactly quiet. Probably not good when you go to retrieve a gun when something goes bump in the night. |

If I had one, I would want it to have just one hidden compartment. The more you have the more chances someone will find one of them and if they find one they will look for more.
I would just want one hidden compartment somewhere that held a fire-proof safe. That would be ideal. |

Yup - I'm the designer and builder. Happy to answer any questions.
Regarding the orientation of the center pullout - yes, we can make that face either side.... Matthew |
