Looks like a big rock. Just because something looks too weird to be natural doesn't mean that it isn't.

They will find a plaque with "MADE IN USA" stamped on it.
Micheal Crichton predicted this. Speed |

Divers didn't find anything, Side Scanning Sonar did (well in this case it was a tow fish).
The drag marks are interesting, but I'm betting they're caused by trawlers. |

Green alligators, long neck geese, humptyback camels and chimpanzees.................Obviously Noahs Ark is not where they thought it would be

Amazing that they raised that 300+ year old ship 50 years ago, almost fully intact. It'll be cool to see what this pans out to be. My grandmother worked on that salvaging project. |

I want to believe. Lol... Some of you guys watch too much TV.

Drilling equipment/sunken platform/platform base.
Or gate to R'lyeh. |

Quoted: USSR item... They did tend to dump a lot of stuff in the ocean, including reactors. |

They were so disinterested that they didn't plan on going back until media got involved.
Color me not excited. |

A better question would be, what were they out there looking for in the first place?

Isn't this an old story? I think by now they should have been able to determine if it was man made or not.
Shit I know what that is .It's a money generator! |

It's the hideout where Amelia Earhart, J.D. Cooper, Jimmy Hoffa and Elvis hang out.

But my guess if that it's something really important, some government will take over, slap a veil of secrecy over it, and we'll never hear shit about it again. So... what happens to anyone who has posted in, or read, this thread??? |

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it is a plain ole boring
radar glitch artifact |

At 60 meters across, it's far wider than any ship that has ever floated. So it's not part of any ship. CJ And you are wrong again. |

Yes, a UFO is the first thing that comes to anybody's mind. http://h.static.memegenerator.net/cache/instances/500x/13/13419/13742058.jpg It's kind of the gist of the acronym until there's a second thing. I have had my share of run-ins with alien conspiracy types. When they say UFO, they mean alien space ship. In fact, they frequently use documented references to UFOs in the "unidentified" sense as "proof" that the Air Force or what not has seen alien space ships. Since this thing, sunk at the bottom of the ocean, is not flying, my gut tells me he thinking about the "U" about as much as he is the "F." In his vernacular, UFO = Alien Space Ship. |

It's wreakage from the space battle that occured over europe around 1577. What, you guys don't watch ancient aliens...

The European way: I got an idea, lets just contact the news, release sonar pics, talk about it with experts and debate on what it is, then we will raise your taxes.
The American way: Let's go down there and look at it, we will know what it is tomorrow. |
|
The 'drag marks' are interesting, if they aren't down current from the object. Otherwise we'll find the thing is the base of a failed lighthouse project. If that doesn't ring true, then i retreat behind my original gut feeling that it is a dikfer.

USSR item... They did tend to dump a lot of stuff in the ocean, including reactors. It's pretty big whatever it is. A 747 fits neatly inside the broken circle. I personally hope it's in good enough shape to get the hyperdrive running again. I want to see what was in the smugglers compartments, too. |

The American way: Let's go down there and look at it, we will know what it is tomorrow. Which way is "we looked at it, contacted the news, released sonar pics, talked about it with experts and debated on what it is, thus generated a bunch of buzz, which means publicity, which means funding and sensationalism so when we go down again there will be money in it?" Your "American way" isn't very profitable, and this European team is a private group. |

Quoted: I don't think it'd qualify as a UFO if it's underwater... Sure it is, it's an Underwater Flying Object |

Its a Basalt core like devils tower with water current shadow

Weird things have been found from the old world and people still can't explain to this day. Does it mean it's alien? Nah.
But how fun would that be?!?! |

In for disappointment...
Just like I was disappointed when nothing came of the whole "Type XIB U-Cruiser Discovery" almost 20 years ago: http://www.combatsim.com/memb123/htm/feb99/type-xib.htm (TL:DR = Dive company claimed back in 1990s that they found the wreck of a German Type XIB "U-Cruiser" off the coast of New England. Only, almost all records indicate that Germany never built the Type XIB design. Then there's a bunch of conspiracy theory stuff about high ranking Germans trying to contact the Allies to end the war early, etc. Anywho, 15 to 20 years later and nothing more has come of this amazing discovery.) |
