Just got back from the funshop. They didn't open the box until I got there. After asking me a few questions about where I got them they called Umbrella because they want to get some to keep some in stock. I was LOLing. BTW the lowers look nice.

I was hoping to build mine this weekend, but my BADASS and KNS pins won't be here until Monday.
With a free weekend and missing build parts, I may be inclined to color-fill this lower. I've fought the color-fill urge for a long time, but that umbrella is just begging for some paint! Maybe I'll go browse the model paint aisle at Walmart or something. Now that I think about it, my Zombie Defense lower would look pretty good with some lime green paint in the logo. |
Really looks nice. I plan on doing that. What paint did you use, an epoxy?
Just regular Testors model paint in flat red and flat white. I tried taping off the different pie sections but the paint would leak under the tape. Took a few hours to do all the work.

I just couldn't bring myself to color-fill the lower, but I built it last night! It looks awesome!
I'll have to remember to take a picture or two when I get home this evening. |
I'm not much into color filling, but I kind of like the filling in of the logo.
I finally made it out to my FFL to pick mine up. Like everyone else; I think they did a great job on the lowers. Quality is very nice and the roll marks / logo is clear.
I think I will be color-filling mine too, I like the red / white logo. Now to finish the other projects I have going so I can build this! |
I imagine they'll take anyone's money if they still have receivers. If not, just go register. It's easier than getting onto arfcom and free.
There were only doing a 100 for the first run.
I am not sure if they are sold out or not. |
I contacted them and have one on order with them. I cant wait this is going to end up being a .300blk rifle.
They told me there was 119 on the first run and I got two numbers above 100. They got my money Tuesday and all my lowers are sitting at my shop to pick up. I'm stoked!! they still had several numbers under 100 as of last week if anyone is still looking...

I have been in contact with Jaime and she told me I was allowed to post the following info
Here is what he replied to me We have 6 left that haven't been reserved with 30 more at our anodizing shop. We expect those within the next couple of weeks. After that, we're not sure. I know the engineers are working on a billet lower and there was some talk today about whether we would offer any lowers again until May, or if all lowers would go to complete rifles. So the only thing I can guarantee right now are the six I can put my hands on!
As for the forums, I'm glad there's some talk about them! Please post as you see fit; these lowers are open to everyone! so get them while you can EDIT: I do not know anybody at this Company I just contacted them to get some information and to order a few of these Lowers. |

I purchased #18 and decided to put it back and get another one to build. I checked with them, they had a few early ones damaged in shipment. They sent them back too be reanodizered. One of the ones they will now have is #17, so I'll have #17, and 18....

Picked mine up yesterday .... and yes, the box is just plain cool too.

$135 + $10 shipping? Looks like I'll have to find an FFL dealer for the transfer that charges less than $65 + DROS + CA taxes in the West Los Angeles area. That could be a tough. |

I'd actually like to see some S.T.A.R.S. lowers with their logo.It would go great with my S.T.A.R.S wood grips on my 92 Elite. http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg207/scaled.php?server=207&filename=reelite2.jpg&res=medium Where did you get those grips? |

Why did they have to put AR-15 on it. Damn AWB!!!!!!
But then again, it doesn't say Colt.... hummmmm |

Mine shipped today! I think I got the last one available, I sent an e-mail last week asking if they had any left. I got a response that said all of the first runs we're spoken for, but they had about 30 that were going back to the anodizers but it may be a few weeks, and they would let me know if anybody doesn't come through on their reserved ones. I got an e-mail the next day saying that someone reserved 4 but decided to only get 3, so I got the one that was let go.
They did make it seem like they will have a few more available in a few weeks. I am going to do the color fill, and I'm going to try using some clear liquid paint mask to get the lines nice and straight. Something like This Can't wait. Think I'm going to just do a simple 14.5" with KAS RIS and aimpoint PRO. |

Here's mine, finally painted and photographed.
I'm not much of a detail painter, so I think I'm going to have a friend of my brother's give it a try. http://i.imgur.com/vl3Iol.jpg http://i.imgur.com/iyyyAl.jpg |

Just fired off an email, hoping to hear something back. I wanted to get one but didn't have the funds available, now I got the funds and it seems like no lowers!
