Was out at Luke today hoping to photograph some visiting F-15's. No Mudhens today, but did grab this one.

Great pic of "Witchcraft".

She is a Fort Worth built B-24 and was made in the same plant that now makes the F-35 !

Nice shot. At a fly-in this summer I talked to the guy who flew that plane when they started their touring airshow act after the movie. He said that the memories were still a bit raw at the time and folks were incredulous that he would fly a "Jap" airplane and would verbally abuse him. He eventually made a habit of parking the airplane on the far end of the line and getting out on the side of the airplane away from the crowd so that when he appeared again it wasn't obvious he came from that airplane.

Yikes.

I apologize for the quality, these are all cell phone pictures.

Anyway, this is one of my favorite pictures.  Precious Metal comes through twice a year on the way to and from Reno, and it so happened that another Mustang was n the hangar that day:

Feathered prop into the sunset:

Rolling final into McCarran:

Beautiful fog bank outside of Sedona

San Tan Mountains looking mysterious:

Wow..that pic of Sedona. I almost flew over there when based in LV temporarily for business; now I wish I did.

It's a neat approach; can get really shady when the wind kicks up though.   The rocks create strange air currents around there and you can really get thrown around.

I have a bunch more from different flights, but these are the only ones I have handy to upload.

Nice birds!

I just tossed my HobbyZone Piper Cub in the dumpster. One to many crack-ups, she was finally beyond repair. Dad has the same plane, so I canned all the serviceable parts and passed them on to him for spares. Time to maybe start hunting for a new toy!

Well, with all the new issues with IMGUR I guess I'm going to have to find a new host if they don't get this resolved. All my pictures from May-current aren't showing any more.

I'm hoping to get in a few museum trips this month. Wife and I are planning a trip to Udvar-Hazy for the open house and I just got a year family pass for Christmas to Military Aviation Museum....
