I took an hour long ride in the pouring rain today on my DRZ. Dirt roads were a slimy mess, road shoulders were disgusting, and a couple of short stretches of single track were mud slogging nightmares.

There is a whole group of us in the Sacramento area who likes to see how far we can push these supermotos capabilities, and they are surprisingly capable to go damn near anywhere. The weekend before last I had snow falling off my bike for 1/2 an hour after we came off the mountain. We have literally a lifetime of exploring area right in our backyard.

No pictures today, maybe tomorrow. I rode my '98 Buell S1W across town to get it inspected, sat for an hour and decided that I didn't want to wait anymore so I rode home and swapped it out for the '09 Buell 1125CR I bought 2 weeks ago and did a little errand running...got a few things to take care of in the morning and then I plan to go find some twisties on the new bike. |
