Let's start this riding season off on the right foot. Tell us about your ride, the bikes, and anything else you want to talk about.

My son rode the wheels off his mini bike as I rode my work in progress bobber. Muddy field+bald street tires made it hell trying to keep up with him

I took an hour long ride in the pouring rain today on my DRZ. Dirt roads were a slimy mess, road shoulders were disgusting, and a couple of short stretches of single track were mud slogging nightmares.

Had a blast

Short ride today. Weather was great and roads are finally clear of salt and cinders.

Rode to work as always. Not to exciting, but...19 days till I leave for Panama! I suspect I will have some decent pics then.

Yep! From Virginia through Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and finally Panama. About 1.5 months of sightseeing.

Nice.

I'm hoping my new rear tire (PP3) get's here by the weekend so I can find out how a new street tire works in the mud compared to a bald one.

There is a whole group of us in the Sacramento area who likes to see how far we can push these supermotos capabilities,  and they are surprisingly capable to go damn near anywhere.  The weekend before last I had snow falling off my bike for 1/2 an hour after we came off the mountain.   We have literally a lifetime of exploring area right in our backyard.

I rode out early yesterday morning. Nothing fancy, just a lot of good back roads throughout my county. I did swing through one small town and grab a scavenger hunt pic. I will have better rides and pics to post soon.

We know the bixby caboose too, DCmoney.

I rode all over there yesterday, ended up doing about 20 miles of gravel that Google maps didn't tell me about on my way to Lesterville.

I was alone, so no pics during, but I was on my Explorer

Cool bike. Perfect for all the little hidden jewels that area has to offer. I used to run jeeps and trucks down there in the late 90s/early 00s. Lots of good times to be had on the miles of gravel roads.

Several years ago I tried to ride an old Honda cruiser around in the snow to see how bad I could hurt myself. It wouldn't go good enough to even get out of my driveway

Props for riding in the extremes.

I took my bike to the dealer in Des Moines for the initial oil change and service. Then to watch the Iowa Cubs ball game and they even won!

From there went to Lake Red Rock the largest lake in Iowa. This is down below the dam and spillway, Very low output.

Then checked out camping spots at Rock Creek.

About 300 miles total today.

Bike made 173 after tune.  Picked up 9 hp.

I had the wire mod done to the bike prior to the tune and after the tune it is a whole different animal.
Much more power throughout the power band.

Upped the rev limit from 13.5k to 14.2k, removed speed limiter, etc.

should have video soon.

No pictures today, maybe tomorrow. I rode my '98 Buell S1W across town to get it inspected, sat for an hour and decided that I didn't want to wait anymore so I rode home and swapped it out for the '09 Buell 1125CR I bought 2 weeks ago and did a little errand running...got a few things to take care of in the morning and then I plan to go find some twisties on the new bike.

You are a better man than I!  185 miles on the SV1k seat would have had me about crippled.  I can tolerate it for about 70 miles and then I'm done for the day, hell even an airhawk and a Sargent seat couldn't help.  However, for me that is the perfect around town hell raising bike, probably one of the best motors that has ever been made. (which is why I can't sell mine)

I bought a used seat off ebay and then got a gel seat pad from walmart. I removed the seat cover and then used a knife to cut the foam out about 2 inches. Widening the ass contact patch helps tremendously. Gets rid of the "sitting on a brick" feeling. Then I cut out a piece of the gel to fit in the cut out section of foam. I recovered it and it looks almost factory. I have put a lil over 800 miles on her in one 18 hr  day. It feels a lot better and cost me $50 I should have 60k miles on her before the summers over.
