Another day and another nice riding opportunity, this time in my backyard, well......about 35 minutes north of my backyard. Blood Mountain, on the Appalachian Trail in north Georgia yesterday. Us north Georgia folk are spoiled with nice roads and this is just another example of such. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i254/TecRsq/Road%20King/20140412_132655_zps693ap1dd.jpg View Quote Those mountain roads are marvelous on two wheels |

Just got back from 185 miles of good old country back roads. Getting the bugs worked out for my up coming trips. I think shes good to go but I'm going to put on a new chain any way. Probablly ride the BRP to Boone or Asheville next week. http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm277/honorabledog/20140413_121109_zpsrjpb3z6f.jpg Was going to use my point and shoot camera today but my daughter taught me a lesson about checking my gear before leaving. Got the bike out for the first time this year on Saturday. I still have over a foot of snow in my yard but it was 65F and the roads were clear so I had to ride.
I was doing about 70-75MPH on the interstate, moved into the passing lane when suddenly 10-15 bales of hay broke loose from the pickup truck in front of me and landed in my lane. Managed to switch back to the other lane and make it around, but it was frightening

Took three days to go from Chicago to Atlanta on my new (2007) BMW G650X Moto. My back still hurts.
799 miles total. Caught a minor league baseball game in Louisville. Met a German girl on BMW while stuck in traffic on I-65. Visited a kit aircraft manufacturer. Met a friend in the north Georgia mountains for an escort home. A really fun but mostly cool adventure. I only warmed up during the last 100 miles or so. Cold weather gear was too much to carry on the airliner with the helmet and all. Good times! |

Seatconcepts makes a seat for your X-moto, I don't know anybody with one of theirs on an X-moto ( pretty rare bikes ) but I have one on my husky, I know two KTM a Yami and a Honda that have them local, and they all feel about the same, FUCKING AWESOME.
I regularly go out and rail my SM610 for 300 miles in a day and still feel pretty good, stock seat was an hour and I was looking to drain some fuel and a match to burn that fucker to the ground. It'll be the best thing you change on that bike, regardless of how much you spend.

I had that problem from posting a ton of pictures here. I got a paid photobucket account for three dollars a month. I'm not actually sure how much bandwidth I get, but it's more than I've been able to use. Great pictures everyone. |

Rode ~150 miles yesterday, went by my favorite cigar shop and picked up a few sticks while I was out. The weather was perfect....I'd love to ride again today but no such luck.
