Edit: The missus liked the design so I'm doing the controllers over tomorrow. Going to do proper surface prep, etc. We'll see how they come out.
I have all the time in the world since I'm not working, so I decided to grab some OD paint and blue masking tape that was laying around. Ended up with a free handed Destiny/7th Column controller. Granted, the masking was pretty rough, but I don't mind. It did kill 20 minutes or so. Plus I get to do one properly for the missus later. 
Edit: So the final versions turned out freaking awesome. My warlock controller came out great after a quick wet sand to get the previous stuff off. Test controller
