I have noticed Most of the new signs in my town have 1 inch tall letters but are trying to make the letters very skinny to save space.. Several of them now have both the 30.06 and 30.07 taking up as much space as the previous 39.06 sign. Has there ever been any opinion by the AG to define block letters?

I got this of Open Carry
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, TODAY IS 1 FEBRUARY!! Do you know what that means?! It means, we miraculously survived an ENTIRE MONTH of open carry without wild west shootouts, open carriers having their guns stolen from them, criminals killing open carriers, losing any tactical advantages, causing the 911 system to shut down, the wholesale evacuation of entire square blocks, blood in the streets, dead school children, another Psy album, or alien invasions (not counting our southern border)! |

I was under the understanding that Chipotle had them up but our local one doesn't have either one of them up. I still haven't went because I hear their food sucks and the parking lot doesn't ever seem to have a lot of cars in it. BigDozer66 |

I saw a 30.07 sign at 24 hour fitness off of 75 and Royal in Dallas. It was a pricint out of the law on 8.5X11 with paragraph b highlighted. Apparently they need better legal representation.

I would also think they have a few links to some "well respected" in their own mind people on this site. I also find it strange that the link was removed as soon as it was listed on here. Kind of a slimy move by someone that wishes to hide their true beliefs to those that they wish to take money from. |

Burger Tex on Airport in Austin has both 30.06 and 30.07. The signs inside are too small to be legal, but they serve as a reminder of the legal signs posted outside. I was with friends and wasn't about to announce to everyone I was carrying and couldn't go inside. Now I know not to come back. I haven't been here in over a decade. The burger wasn't as good as I remember anyway.
#ohwell ETA: on the way out, I looked at the signs again. Definitely not legal. The lettering is too small. This raises an interesting question. Am I still disrespecting the owner's property rights if the sign is invalid despite the obvious intent to bar carry? Should I give my money to a business that technically has not given me legal notice to bring carry on their premises even though it is clear that they wish for me not to? |
