I got my CCL in the first batch issued in March. You will not get any sort of notification via email. If you don't keep checking the status of your application online, your only notice you were approved will be your CCL in the mail!

Mine recently arrived in the mail 105 days after applying w/o prints.

So you applied checked your status frequently status said "under review" and then one day it said "active"? Congrats man! I'm about 30 days into my wait, expecting it to be at least 90 days, but just wanted to hear how it played out for someone with no prints. |

Has anyone here who did not provide prints been asked to provide them?

Now, if they suspect a reason to deign a license to you for mistaken identity (it has happened), you might/would want to give ISP more detail on your identity and prints would provide that. Swan Hunter might be able to further weigh in on your concern. |

Applied 12/12/14, no prints.
App number 2,107,xxx (seems odd?) Since I did my training 2/23/14, I'm hoping they go by submitted date and not review date, as I think the training certificate is only good for one year I believe? Please correct me if I'm wrong. |

Applied 10/18. App number 710,xxx. Not sure why yours is 2M+

On page one of this thread there was a step by step link that explained how to apply for your license.
that page has expired or seems no longer available. My brother in law is having trouble with his application I think he needs to set his internet browser back to version 7, but he doesn't know how Does anyone have a current link or instructions on how to get through the application process? |

Day 8 since going active. Still not in the mail, and my FOID card is invalid because they are issuing new FOID's with the CCL. I am incapable of buying a gun due to this. I love this state.

View Quote Have you been denied at a store? If your FOID is invalid, that means you are not permitted to possess a firearm, much less purchase one. So, WTF? If this turns out to be a big deal, maybe it should be moved to another thread so it doesn't clutter up this one. Illinois Carry thread |
|
[#41]
If you were told your FOID is invalid, that is incorrect. If you are trying to purchase a firearm and have a problem, have ffl contact the ftip guys.

|
[#42]
As far as I can tell they starred this with the new online system. Illinois carry has some info on it, they are syncing up foid and ccl numbers.
As to the other questions, no I was not denied at a store, but on a personal sale and the guy ran my foid through the isp website. It came back as not found. I called isp and the guy put his supervisor on the phone. He said I should have received my new food and ccl by now, but would have to wait 30 days to file a lost in mail claim. He also said I was one of the "unlucky" ones who is basically screwed on purchases until my new foid gets here. I brought up the whole "am I allowed to possess a firearm right now" thing with him and he tip toed around the question and wouldn't give me a direct answer. So who knows if I'm technically in illegal possession right now. |
|
[#43]
No you are not in violation. We have that from one of the top officials. If you want to make a purchase, you need to get in touch with the ftip guys.
Try running your new foid number. Same as your CCL number. |
