When I was at Ready Line in Cincinnati, the place with the 100 yd indoor shooting range, and while out at bowling centers, why the heck there isn't a credit card swiper on the station so that I can add 30 mins.
Imagine the possibilities to upsell, you could order ammo, and have it brought to you while you shoot. Pay for an extra 30 mins, etc. |

Just got back from the new store. Nice looking place, but nothing really different than the big box stores as far as pricing and setup. The ranges look great and I am sure will be a nice draw for them. Sound proofing seems a little lacking when walking up, a lot more report in the parking lot than I would have expected for a brand new store. They didn't have a couple of the items in stock that are in the sales flyer, but no surprise with a soft opening. I grabbed 5 boxes of CCI SR primers since they are on sale and picked up a soft side rifle case.
All in all, I think they've done pretty well with the new place, shame it isn't 4 miles from home like the Cleveland Ave store is. |

Friend of mine went today and texted me this:
Nice store at the new Vances. They even have restrooms! They have about 20 guys working the gun counter. No wait at all even though it's crowded. Prices same as the other store. Long gun inventory is bigger than the other store. |

I went tonight, couldn't resist one of the Anderson lowers for 41.99, ammo was plentiful, guy said 22 is flying off the shelves at record speed(said more was coming in tomorrow) not many used guns if any, cashiers seemed a bit fuzzy on stuff, will probably stick with the Cleveland Ave store for the time being.

Naga1337, How much was the h4831sc? Thanks Bikejunky View Quote I honestly don't recall. I don't recall thinking it was a great deal, but I also don't recall thinking it was wildly overpriced. Probably a bit of what we've been experiencing lately; higher than it has been historically, but not a panic price. Sorry I didn't pay more attention, as I wasn't really in the market for any powder at the time. |

Their range pricing and rules are ridiculous.
Individual Membership $199, and you can only shoot for free on Wednesdays. All other days, $11/hr additional cost. Family Membership $299, and you can only shoot for free on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. All other $11/hr additional cost. If you only shoot once a month, it's cheaper to just pay per visit. I shoot once a month at AimHi, and I'll sit in a lane for 2-3 hours. They must want you to bumpfire at Vance's. |

So I bought a few hundred rounds of the Blazer Aluminum cased ammo in 9mm and .45 ACP at the Obetz store last week. I decided to give their range a try today and I was told that I could not use Aluminum cased ammo! I told the guy I just bought all this ammo here last week and no one ever mentioned this. The guy behind the counter said this new rule pissed off a lot other folks and that they now have a sign in the ammo isle saying that Aluminum cased ammo was not usable on their range.
The reasoning they gave is that they don't want to have sort through the non-brass casing... Fuck them, between this and their one hour rule they can shove their range up their asses! I'll just keep shooting at Ohio Valley from now on. |

So wait, is the new place like Buckeye Outdoors or just a bigger version of the Cleveland Ave store with a range?
If it's not another Buckeye Outdoors then I have no use for it. I am hoping any reply is not a disappointment for me.

I'd say $340/1K is high in today's climate. Online retailers like Target Sports and The-Armory are selling Wolf Gold .223 for $285 shipped/1k.
