Got two pounds of 748 from same lot at the gunshow for $15 each, and found a ladder of .243 I loaded close to a decade ago with no label, so they get pulled.

Finished working up and down a load for my 9mm cast boolets that cycles both of our 9s. Pushed them up to 1275 fps and down to a super soft shooting 950 fps.

Then, I powder coated some boolets I cast up a few weeks ago. And tried them out.

My 75gr 30 cal boolet worked well made of pure linotype,  but I though maybe accuracy would improve if I made softer boolets. My predictions were correct. I also lengthened the oal so the bullet is pressed into the lands by about .010. I may test a small jump to see if it helps. These are so cheap to shoot, I dont mind popping off as many rounds as it takes to get good results.

Finally worked the bugs out of my .45-70 setup.  Using IMR 3131 and 405gr powdercoated LRNFP, I picked a mid range load and made a box of rounds to test.  Out of an 1886 Winchester, they were quite stout.  Next I picked the starting load, 45.5gr and tested another box.  Seems just right.

Then I set up for 535gr Postell LRN and loaded a box using 60gr of FFG over a cardboard wad.

Now I am back to loading the rest of the .45-70 lot with IMR.

It has been a long time since I hand measured powder.  It is time consuming, yet relaxing.

Loaded a test batch of 6.8 SPC using H322 and Hornady 110 gr HPBT bullets.

The charges go up to 28gr, which was me given as an accuracy load in my thread.

Loading to the longer COAL listed by Hodgdon, so 28 gr is below max.

Processed a bunch of 6mm Creedmoor and 22-25] brass.  Loaded some test loads of each.  Hodgdon is showing crazy velocities with 22-250 55gr and CFE223 powder so I'm going to play a little with that.

So far, I got the 450 reset with a new Forster 300 WM micrometer seating die. It had an old Vickerman seating die.

Then sorted through a ton of stuff, Got some listing to do in the EE. More cleaning to finish though.

Found a Unicorn in a back corner. Haven't decided what to do with it though.

Yes, that is 100 pieces of new Lapua 300 Win Mag brass.

Picked up 32lbs of Universal today for $288.  ($9/lb!)

Gander had it on super duper clearance and I overheard a customer buying one and I asked if they had any more.  Clerk brought out these 4.

If my math is right this should load about 50K of 9mm.

Traded a guy at USPSA match today a 5gal bucket of 40 brass for one of 9 so I got some brass to clean.  That was fun carrying up from the basement out to the car

Also picked up a lil brass at the match today.

Took the one 650 off its strongmount and bolted this plate across the "extended' strongmount:

Then mounted my 25 year old Rock Chucker single stage to it:

And then went old skool...used an RCBS Uniflow measure to drop 41.0 plus grains of Varget, then trickled up to 42.0 grains, then used the Rock Chucker to seat some 168 grain HPBT's.

Got just 10 loaded up so far.

I'll go for 20 and then head to the range.

That was all Lapua brass, too.

I spent parts of the weekend improving the reloading room in my apartment.  Put a shelf on the wall to hold my second press when not in use.  Put up some brackets on the wall for acro bins, and peg board to store tools (reloading and general) more efficiently.

Tonight, I loaded 50 rds of .40 using the odds and ends from a pack of "premium bullets" from American Reloading.

Swaged a quart zip-loc bag of 556 brass using a Mighty Armory depriming/swaging die-kit.

About 200 down only about 2800 pieces to go

Was testing loads when the wind knocked over my chrono.  It is now busted and I gotta send it in for repair.  Fml.

On the plus side, found a promising load with Brazos' 405g coated lead bullets over H110 before it busted.

Resized, primed. and expanded 50 rounds of 41 magnum on the Rock Chucker tonight. After years of the Dillon life it was kinda relaxing loading a large bore revolver cartridge on a single stage.

I finally got a chance to hit the range today!  First, I tried out my new .45 Colt SAA with Remington factory "wheel gun" ammunition.  I've gotta work on my trigger finger positioning, as I wound up really messing up my right index finger with the revolver...  The gun shot well, but I didn't generate the amount of empty brass I expected to because of the owie on my finger.

Then I tested my .32 Auto and 7.62 Tokarev loads.  I ran them over my Gamma Master chrony, but I haven't had a chance to look at the numbers nor really examine the targets, but all of the loads cycled in each gun (two different .32s and one Romanian Tok), with predictable ejection patterns.  True Blue in .32 Auto is nice, and it makes for Tokarev rounds that are "snappier" than Unique loads.

That's a LOT of Carbine brass!

I got started depriming my range brass from Wednesday.  Some of it was on the muddy side, so those cases are set aside until I can de-mud them before depriming.  I didn't collect as much as usual this time - the private bay I typically use was in use, so I had to use another one, and this one doesn't get the number of shooters that my preferred one does.

I wound up with several .458 SOCOM cases, and I'm still grabbing .44 Mag brass thinking it's .45 Colt.  I need to find a home for that stuff before it convinces me that I need new firearms to fit my orphan brass.    Volunteers for fostering this stuff are welcome!

Edit to fix typo.

Picked up 400 308 VMAX projectiles. Going to roll them into my HD load.

I also moved all my brass processing gear inside for the winter... but now I already want to convert more brass.

I pulled down some M62A1 and M80A1 projos and loaded them into .300 Blackout. These should be fun

I also spilled IMR4227 all over my bench because I forgot to close the door and the dog ran straight into me while dipping…

Practiced Python coding. And made a program that asks for the basic reloading data of a load and writes it to a tab delimited text file with each entry having a lot number (basically a row number) and a date. Light program with under 20 rows of code. It's really not that useful yet but a fun exercise.

Stopped at two stores in Columbia (Sportsmans Warehouse, Palmetto State Armory) looking for...stuff.

SW has a decent enough selection of reloading gear and components but not at any prices I was willing to pay. I am damn sure not paying $60 (tax included) for a 5-lb. box of stainless steel pins. Bought nothing. I'll get my pins from guntap.

PSA is getting out of the reloading business and what's left on the shelf was dismal save one small item: a clearance-priced Hornady LNL powder measure drain tube so I grabbed it.

Still overseas for work, so all I can do is buy right now.

Picked up 5k ea of CCI 250’s & 450’s in addition to 3k 147gr JHP and 2k 180gr JHP.

Gonna have all sorts of fun when I return!

Prepping 30.06 cases.  The crimped primer on these are brutal compared to 9mm, .308, and .223, but I got it done.  The crimps are heavy and deep.

I ran them through the Franklin tumbler with Lemishine and Dawn for two hours.  I think I might reduce the time, they are very shiny when they come out.

Next is sizing and measuring OAL.  I plan to hand drop powder on the first lot.

Waiting on electrician to wire in extra outlets before unboxing too much.

Did get all my ammo put back on shelves, my back is sore.
