1982. It either hadn't been fired, or at most only fired a couple times.

My pictures still don't show up.

Thank you.

I put 500 flawless rounds through it this weekend. I originally intended to have some work done, but I haven't even removed the magazine disconnect and I honestly don't have any complaints with the trigger, other than the reset. It's definitely one of the heaviest triggers I have, but it's not gritty and breaks clean, and I've been getting good groups, so I'm considering not touching it.  I would like to shorten the reset though, I felt like I had a limp trigger a couple of times.

Bought on the EE this FM M95 Detective->

Neat gun.  Uses the same magazines and many parts from a BHP, but as you can see, there are differences.

1995 Practical, picked up from SimpsonLTD, ABSOLUTELY Cherry, No wear under the slide, sitting in the case for the last 20 years...

Already been to the range, and corrupted her a bit. (Hence the old/new pachmayrs)

I about had a heart attack when I saw the $845 price tag. Couldn't pass her up

It is as close to perfect as it can get.... all it needs to be is .40 S&W.

You know how a lot of the Israeli guns have mis-matched slides, so they'd re-stamp the SN to match the other numbers? Looks like they did that on this one - the SN is scored out and a new one crudely stamped in to match the SN on the frame and barrel.  But if you look, it's the same SN punched out and re-stamped; all the parts actually match.  Don't know why they would've done that, but I'm sure it would've been much more expensive if they hadn't.

Now if I can just get the damn trigger pin out to get at the mag safety...

My CDI Hi Power was so hard to dissemble to remove mag safety.  I bent a few cheap punches and cursed a lot

Sure, I don't watch the EE for like 3 months and some one sells a Detective  :(

Nice pick up - I love mine so much that I've been watching for another, but some how missed out on that.

Izzy with VZ Gunner's Grips.  I did a thread in GD soliciting color preference (http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1805884_Fashion_Advice_for_a_BHP___GD_Gets_to_pick_the_Grips.html), but I knew I'd love these grips and I do.  They don't feel great against a bare waist, but they're fine if you wear an undershirt and something over it. I'm actually excited to go shoot on a nice hot, humid day for a change - these things weld to your hand.

Pics of my '94 Practical. New to me, but well used.

I wanted to keep it 'Practical,' so no real custom work done. A pair of Trijicon night sights and a modified Pachmeyr grip.

I used a gunsmith to install the sights; all the other work, I did myself. Installed new trigger, new hammer and sear, chopped the stock ambi safety to left side only, and made a modest bevel to the mag well.

Also, I modified the grips. Cut down the huge ridge on both sides, and cut a scoop to better reach the mag release.

My 1988 BHP after a Ceracote job. I had it stored when I relocated and the conditions were not ideal, to say the least.
The sights are Millet Adjustable and the grips are walnut, original they way I ordered it. My absolute favorite.

Posting these for a friend. Had a great lunch break yesterday, me with my new S&W Victory, him with his two Hi-Powers. The one on the left, his carry gun, has just been cerakoted, ring hammer and night sights installed. The one on the right is a little rough for now and he's looking to sell it. Definitely a nice way to spend an hour, though.

Thanks, I did all the work myself.  I should have added some details to my post, here are the specs:

It has a 4 lb trigger with under .100" of travel. C&S sear and hammer. Harrison rear, SDM front sights. I tightened the slide\frame fit. 40 lpi serrations on slide and sights. 40 lpi checkering front and rear. High cut frontstrap. Trigger was straightened some. Beveled magwell. Safeties were reshaped.  Welded and reshaped beavertail.  Blued finish, Spiegel grips.
