Don't replace the extractor! That 226 looks old enough to have been made with the non-MIM external extractor.

I'd replace the recoil spring and the extractor and shoot it til things begin to break....

Our duty guns were made in April of 07.
We've had one extractor fail at 6k rounds.
Sig states to replace them at 10K rounds.

Just buy a spare and hang on to it until the original fails.

Just broke it down and gave it a good cleaning and lube job.

Also installed the SRT - took all of 3 min.

The rail wear is a mix of gold and some black, heaviest wear is on the rear rails and they are gold. I'm going with oil was used by previous owner as opposed to grease. It's got a good load of grease on em now

Find out how she shoots this weekend

I see this on our duty guns. Most of them have less than 3k rounds through them and they were manufactured in April of 07 and issued in June of 07.
