Help me out. Price not being an issue which one would you buy? I'm a NAVY vet so I have always been drawn to the mk25 just for nostalgia purposes but I like the looks of the scorpion and the fact that it has a SRT and the beavertail. So what does the hive say? I know there are a lot of mk25 owners on here but how about the scorpion folks? Feedback appreciated.

EDIT: It finally came in today. I went with the Scorpion and I love the fit and finish. Range report to follow.

I have a 226 and I love it. Wanted a scorpion but didn't have the funds. I dig the way it looks.

Since you're in Ohio I doubt you'll go swimming in the ocean with it so I say Scorpion. It has a better trigger and grips and the beaver tail looks cool. I just checked GB and the priced are close.

The SRT can be added for $49 in parts and 10 minutes work.

The G10 grips can be had from Hogue for $120

Frames can be painted with a $99 Duracoat kit

What YOU have to decide is Beaver-tail / no beaver tail......anchor logo - no anchor logo.

Unless you plan on dropping it in salt water....

Personally, I prefer beaver tails

I'm set on the beavertail so the scorpion it is. Hey I can always get a mk 25 down the road. No one says you can't just own 1 sig. Right? I'll post pics when she comes in.

My grandfather was a naval gunner, sunk on two boats by a U Boat in two days. so there is that

I sweat a lot and carry AIWB, so the extra protection on some of the internals on the MK25 appealed to me

I chose the MK25

You can get the Sig MK25 in Desert finish/color and should add sweat protection. The finish looks like Cerakote finish.

I'm a sucker for the Scorpion line. I really like the beaver tail and it feels a little better in my hand than the standard frame.

I tried both. Bought the Scorpion.  SRT is way better and I like beavertails.

I wonder why it is out of stock?  My FFL just talked to sig about a pistol he ordered for me that was supposed to have a SRT (P226-SP), but didn't.  We were hoping that Sig would just send him a SRT kit, but they said no freebie, but he could buy one.  He ended up ordering 3 of them (1 for me and 2 for his sigs) and they shipped them out right away.  I just got mine yesterday and am going to install it tonight or tomorrow.

Mk25.

The P22X series does not need a tail.

And the extra corrosion/sweat/etc protection of the MK25 is a plus.
