My Carver has to be indexed, and then unscrewed 2 full revolutions to have that much gap.

When we tested our our comp on an S3F barrel we came up with about a .040 gap, which is about what my Silencer Co (Storm Lake) has as well. It's extremely minimal. Some guys with S3F are getting the same result, but others are getting about an .080 gap which is probably what is seen here. We are making a small change to the design and machining to hopefully fit a wider variety of barrels. The comp will be .080 longer but should help close up that gap and still fit G34/35 holsters.

Good deal. I'm sure there are too many variables among barrels for an instant one size fits all. Thank you for an update.

Unfortunately that's the issue with trying to make something universal, mounts up great on some and not as great on others. Fortunately people are extremely happy with the performance so far, especially given it's size.

went to function check my 17 with the new tbrci micro comp tonight. Only shot 50rds but for a proof of concept: hells yeah. This gun is awesome to shoot. Super smooth with very little muzzle flip.I only had medium strength loctite at home when i put it on. Comp was slightly unscrewed when i got home, like sightly. If it ever walks more than that I'll go buy some red loctite.

Gotta make sure those set screws are nice and torqued down and have blue loctite on em. I have 2k rounds through mine with no loctite on the barrel threads with absolutely zero movement. I also have 2 other Glocks that I just put the TBRCi Comps on with only a couple hundred rounds through em and got the same results. After you crank those set screws down try to turn the comp by hand, if you can't, you should be good to go.

It adds about 1.1" to the front of your gun. So it would probably need to go in a G17 holster to be completely shrouded.

thats essentially what i did, but i couldn't find my blue loctite, just some purple "milspec" stuff i had that came with something. the set screws were noticeably greasy looking while shooting which made me think the loctite was melting. i trisd to unscrew the comp when i noticed that and im guessing that's when it moved.
I'll go back to shooting it without touching it and it'll porbably be fine.

I just got a Vickers 19 today and am thinking of using it as a Roland host. What are the pros and cons of the RM06 vs the RM07?

I built my RS using a G19 Gen 4.  No issues with spring.  In fact all internals are standard.

For those that are using the comp on a G19 will the G17 holsters work for this set up? My blackriflecompany micro comp is on order and was trying to figure out what holster would work best? I have a G17 JMCK AIWB2 on order that I figured would work?

The Roland Special is the same length as a G34.

When I ordered the holster I wanted, I specified the attached light I was using, then ordered the holster for a G34 with RMR, tall front sight, and specified an open end.

A few of my pals at BE Meyers made believers out of me when they showed how easy it was conceal carry this beast.  I'm a huge fan of the Vanguard 2 minimalist holster, so the Vanguard 3 minimalist holster which indexes of the Surefire X300 works just as well.  Keeps the gun where you want it, and is easily adjustable for comfort as needed.  As long as you don't have a huge gut, you can conceal carry this beast all day.

Just read all 71 pages over at the pistol-forum. The last 30% of it is garbage. Do yourself a favor and stop reading as soon as they mention getting a FAST coin.

And I'm still left with my primary question unanswered. In order for me to build this pistol legally I have to permenantly attach the comp. good idea, bad idea. I just can't decide. I don't think I'll be able to outshoot the stock barrel for a while so it's not an immediate need but still... Hopefully going out for milling at ATEI before the end of January.

It's probably not a bad deal. Most people never even come close to shooting out a pistol barrel. The only weird thing with a pistol is you wont be able to pull the barrel out of the slide.

I wouldn't want to because then you can't remove the barrel. I mean, I guess you don't really have to remove the barrel for cleaning, but I still would want the ability to do so.

The one issue that comes to mind is difficulty installing/removing front sights with the barrel in the way.

What about pistols following this functional theme but not actually being Roland Specials? Unlike a clone AR thread that balks at "inspired-by builds" I'm amending this thread it to include similar glocks that deviate from the specific configuration but fill the overall function: RDS and comp equipped Glocks that aren't competition oriented "open-class" rigs.
G17s, ATOM/ZEV/etc slides, other optics, upgraded triggers and internals, TBRCI comps, non-KKM barrels, non-x300u lights, lonewolf/P90/CCF frames etc... do not a Roland make, but they are functional equivalents that are being termed "faux-lands".

Yes, I am familure with that holster. I'm guessing it goes IWB the same way that every other RCS phantom does. Try this.

My specific question was to the brand new "drop offset" mounting hardware that is on this holster. It looks like an injection molded piece mated to RCS QMS straps. But I haven't heard anyone go further on them.
