Finally came together...

...started with the random purchase of some cheap FDE magazines at a gun show for a gun I didn't own.

4th Gen Glock 34 (RMR cut & Cerakoting work by ATX Armory). No affiliation with them, just very pleased with their work. I just need to add Suppressor sights now.
Trijicon RM-07, Trijicon HD sights (for now) AlphaWolf threaded barrel, Streamlight TLR-1HL.

Glock finishes just don't hold up like they used to. This 19rtf2 has seen approx 10k rounds since 2010. My 26gen4 purchased last year has only seen 1k and much fewer draws and looks like shit.

Don't care either way as they are just Glocks but can't believe how much worse the newer style finish wears.

Edit: effed up copy and pasting the pic link

That old frying pan finish was so slippery I had to stick sandpaper tape on the slide to be able to rack it.

I'll take holster wear over a slippery gun any day.

How are those +2 extensions performing for you?  Do they utilize stock mag spring?

Yes they use the factory spring. I just got them in the mail a few days ago so I haven't tried them yet, but I have read the mixed reviews of +2 extensions with standard length springs. I should be hitting the desert one morning this week to try them out and I can report back.

I completely agree. I like the newer style and how tacky it feels. It just seems very weak in comparison to other handguns.

And like I stated before I don't care about the looks at all. In fact I like it when it's worn, its just amazing how after 1 year it looks worse than a 7 year old gun with 10 times as many rounds and certainly significant more draws. Just shows how strong that old finish was.

I think I want to pick up a 19gen4 soon because I do like the tackiness much more (along with the other improvements of the gen4 guns).

stock G34. Plan to keep this one stock. Maybe mildly tune for  USPSA Production class.
"Glock 17". Stock slide Not many other Glock factory parts in there.
stock G26. Probably putting night sights on this week.
Poly 80 and a Lone Wolf G34 barrel

No clue what configuration to do with the Poly 80. Maybe an open sight Limited gun setup. Looking for ideas and parts!

I don't even like Glocks, but they just shoot so good for me

I noticed that the mag is in backwards.  Wonder if that's for safety, or he doesn't knows the difference?

Neat pic anyway.

Not as nice as some in here, but it was my carry pistol at the shop for a goodly long while, and it's travelled with me across thousands of miles.

Putting red dots on pistols may have just saved my pistol shooting, I had begun to regard pistol shooting as something of a chore, and didn't do it nearly as much as I shot long guns (I've always subscribed heavily to the "sidearms is sidearms" mentality).  With the red dots, I'm having much more fun.  Maybe it's just a novelty thing that will wear off, but for now, I'm loving it.

Meanwhile, the comp on the .40--as I'd mentioned, I'd mostly just built the pistol because I got the mags, but had never been a huge .40 fan, especially with seven screws and plate in my right wrist.  With the comp, though--it's smoother than my G34, and just an absolute joy.

Still need a holster for this boat (plane? ) anchor, though.
