Fin, Im curious as to what you did for painting the stock.

Well, my stock came in today.
Needless to say I'm completely disappointed. After mounting the stock to hand tightness to test positioning, it simply fell off of the folding mechanism.
Clearly unacceptable, I'll never be buying from them again.
...
ACE, that is. This hinge is a god damn joke. It's had two other issues already, and now the threads just up and break off without even torquing them down? I know it's aluminum but MAN, I've had UTG products of better quality. I guess I'll just throw in for a stormwerkz...

The stock is nice though!

I have a virgin PAP M92 and I'm going to have someone local drill and tap holes for a Stormwerkz sling plate (for now) and the hinge once I get my F1 back... should the holes be centered in the receiver so I can mount the hinge either right or left folding, depending on the direction I decide after trying it out?

Do I need anything other than the stock + hinge package from Manticore? Just want to have my bases covered.

Thanks

The hinge is slotted so you can move it up or down, so center drill the holes, that way you can adjust the stock to your desired height. All you should need is the hinge and stock, the rest of the hardware should be included.

the one I have in house originally came from RPB Industries, I would give them a call or email to see if it is in stock:

http://www.gunmallusa.com/gunmallusa/prepareDisplayStoreItem.do?itemDetailID=29&storeNumber=1&stockNumber=AKUPRP

Here is the Leapers/UTG version on Amazon, should be fine:

The GP-25 recoil pad is the way to go if you want a rubber buttpad, and it fits the Triangle Stock perfectly.

Gotcha... know any sources in stock?

Got the UTG pad in today, it should work well enough, plenty of cushioning but it's a little loose on the stock. I think I'll use some double sided Velcro to make sure it doesn't fall off.

That's why there's a slot for a strap at the back to snug it around the butt of a triangle stock.

Does anyone know the weight of regular com-bloc sidefolding stock?

Just curious as I read on another forum someone complaining about the weight of the Manticore Arms stock. They had a bunch of other complaints in their post that gave me a level of distrust, but I was just curious.

Regular triangles are a lot lighter.
Try to find one. This is the best alternative.

I'd feel confident buttstroking someone or something with the Manticore stock, it's definitely solid.

We are waiting on Stormwerkz, we ate up their last run and they are having to make more.  I will check with Josh at Stormwerkz today to see what the ETA is.

FYI Apex Gun Parts should have Triangle Stocks with hinges on their website soon, we shipped them some late last week.  They always sell them with the hinge.

Just finishing machining a batch of AR type hinges today, sawing the stock for the standard hinges this afternoon.
Will be several weeks as this will be a BIG batch of hinges.

I know I saw this talked about, but I can't find it...  I will be putting a dot sight (Fastfire II) on my M92.  What is the cheek weld like with the slight angle once these stocks are added?  Should I add an angled spacer?

The bumpski adapter is a piece that adapts the bumpski (full auto style stocks) stock on to the AMD platform since we're stuck with that wire folding stock. But it also allows for the Manticore/Ace style stocks to be used as well which is what i went with. Krebs makes an adapter too but its very expensive and bulky(ugly imo). Bumpski's adapter is only $65 which is well worth it to add this manticore triangle stock to it!! I just want to add the stormwerkz one to get the compactness of the AMD back and to get a little LOP back.

Also thanks for the compliments, i definitely love this rifle and finally got it setup exactly how i wanted it! and thanks for the great stock to make it happen!

Worked like a charm on my Arsenal SAM7K (former) pistol.

And thanks for the the proto wood folding stock adapter.  Rock-solid with a little epoxy to prevent any slop or splitting, I used it on my Draco SBR.  (I'll take some better/more detailed pics of the stock and adapter and send them to you, but it might be a week or two.)

Guess I'll drop mine here too, apart from maybe hitting the whole thing with some engine enamel it's as complete as it's going to get. The stock has been perfect.

Also, congrats to Sven and the Mrs.

Yes, the screws are 10-32 threading- just go down to your local hardware or home improvement store and get a 10-32 tap and drill kit- should be under $10.
