Tactical machining if he can wait
Modulus arms had a really good sale going on for their anodized lowers at $49 ea, or $39ea if you buy 10 or more 80-lower if he's less patient and just wants to back order if not in stock they are $45-$49ea if I remember correctly. |

I've only used the tactical machining 80s, they are good to go. Work great with my Easy Jig.

I've also done a couple 80% Arms lowers. The TM lowers were bought when they were 3 for 99.00 (I think they were cheaper then that). If your going to do one I'd do the 80% arms lower. Its easier to mill and a much better lower, IMO |

If he wants to consider a polymer lower, the James Madison Tactical, JMT is a great option.
