ordered one from SteyrAug, guess I'll have to be patient. I'd like to SBR and suppress it, oh, and put a flat top on it as well

quietshooter,
please tell me about your can. What type? How much suppression? How does it attach? I was just kicking around the idea of SBR'ing mine and getting a can for it but now I think I may just be crazy enough to dump another grand into it and go ahead with it. I got to try out the Advanced Armament M4 2000 with the quick attach flash hider recently and I loved it, but I dont think they make them for 9mm. |

With the mount you're using on the ML2 now, does it still co-witness?

I want to post my pics of my 9mm but I don't know who would store my pictures.

Does for me! It's not perfect, but close. I may wind up going to an ARMS at some point, but I had the GGG one sitting around, so it got used. That happens a lot around my place. |

I don't think you've got enough ammo there, you should pick up another can or two.

care to elaborate on the config ?
is that a YHm FF 7" ? what can ?...thanks |
|
|
exocet,
It is an SWR QD3k suppressor on a 5" 3 lug barrel. The handguard is a YHM carbine length. This combo is very quiet, accurate and light. Now if Colt would just sell me some cheap mags.... |

Does Colt even still sell them? Are they no longer made and Colt selling old ones? Do they only sell to LE depts directly? I have been wondering why prices didn't really come down after the ban expired. |
||
|
|
I hope Colt still makes the mags because I have some on order with a distributor. I tried five of the Promag polymer mags but none of them worked, which sucks. I had high hopes for those mags. Uzi mags work ok but the last round bolt hold open is the major appeal of the Colt style 9mm system. |

Hallmark Ent (Steve) – what is the upper in the bottom photo? I’ve been kicking around the idea of a suppressed 9mm upper, and that looks a lot like a Lauer integrally-suppressed upper I’ve seen advertised.

Retro: Colt 635 SMG with stick mags and drums. Tactical: Colt with LRM M169 upper and EOTech, in action (sorry, it never slows down enough to pose for pretty photos!). And if you want to hear the LRM M169 in action, check the vid -- yes, that's me shooting plain ol' supersonic 115-gr. American Eagle: www.502inc.com/mg1.mov |

RRA uppers are ideal for these conversions......no forward assist or shell deflector needed. Simple, clean, and lightweight. Just drill the holes in the receiver and install the ejector. Here is the 45ACP Thread in case anyone wants to read the details.
