Marsh, A few weeks ago I remember reading something along the lines of you getting a prototype in to sign off on. Did that ever come? Was it acceptable? Pics? Eta on production units? Price guesstimate? Will you be doing any pre-orders? And...another question in regards to the unit itself.... My original PA 4x compact scope seems pretty low on my flat top. So low in fact, that I see the front site post in my picture, albeit blurry...it's an obstruction. I'd like to keep the front site post if I can. If I add a QD mount underneath the 4x, will that fix the issue? Will the new 4x compact be about the same height high as the original 4x also possibly requiring a QD mount? Thanks!

The 2.5X has been approved for production so we will see it first. The 4X reticle is still a little off. Both will have about the same height as you have now. I have been shooting the 2.5X and yes you see the front post but after 4-5 rounds of focusing on the target you tune it out. A higher mount would not give a proper cheek weld. The 2.5X has the CQ version of our ACSS reticle. IMHO it is the best compromise for CQ and distances out to 500 yards.
You can use any full size Acog QD base but it will not change the height. |

I will echo the others, pics pics!! |

Well, I found a 2.5X with the old reticle from the PAC3X. It's shorter and lighter than the 3X model. Hopefully the same holds true for this one too!

do you have any eta idea on the 2.5X marsh? Might be better than a red dot for my SBR
Also pics of the prototype? I cant decide between this and the multi-reticle red dot. I may get the multi reticle for my MP5 anyway when it comes back in stock. |

Will see if I can get him to send a pic |

I was planning on the new M4 red dot, now I have to choose between that, a 1-4x, or a fixed 2.5 and fixed 4x? You're horrible. and going to make me even more poor. |

Its not ugly. Too bad it doesnt have a slanted front like an acog. But if you put butler creek flup caps on it it would probably shade it a bit.
I like this so far. Might be what I get for my SBR AR. Too bad the reticle wont come in green though. Ive always liked green much better than red. |

looks good, have any idea what the battery life will be? BTW, you had it on the website earlier with a $299 price and a 1/3 MOA clicks. That wouldn't be a hint on the 4x version would it?

With that reticle, is the outer ring set all the way on the edge of the glass?
|
|
The elements of the reticle are pretty clear but could you show us the ranges on the elements? Thanks.

I dunno what this says about my sanity but when I look at that reticle all I see is a koala staring at me.

Question about the reticle for the compact 4X.... Is it going to be the CQB reticle like the 2.5X or more like the reticle on the 1-6X?
I am looking to set up my AR for 3 gun, and the 1-6X seems to be the popular choice, but it seems that the 4X with CQB reticle might actually be more useful for the majority of situations. Either way I would also have backup sights at a 45 degree angle. Any thoughts? |

May want to edit the description on the site for the 2.5...
"Optional Pictniy rail and Kill Flash are available for purchase." That means I get a free one, right |

What, other than the reticle, has been improved/changed since the last 4x compact scope? I noticed the mounting brackets for secondary devices are in a couple different spots....but I am more curious about the clarity, glass, etc.

This reticle looks AWESOME... I like the reticle on my 3x, but this is far superior.

Any reviews yet?
This is perfect for my needs since my dept. doesn't allow anything past 3x, but would like to see how it holds up to a beating. |
